Beloved
🙏 We PRAY FOR those affected by a 7.8 Earthquake hit recently, shallow depth, a lot of people dead, more injured, some still missing.... Intense shaking lasted 2 minutes... We ask the Grace and Peace from The God of all comfort, 2 Cor 1:2, comfort the afflicted and panic stricken, 2 Cor 1:3-5, a LOT of heavy aftershocks, calm them kindly, help with the search and rescue efforts, seek and save the Lost, Lk 19:10, (Your priority), raise up and send out Laborers for The Harvest, Mt 9:37-38, save sinners, 1 Tim 1:15-16.

Lord Jesus, we agree the the multitudes are like sheep without a shepherd, and notice how moved You were with compassion, Mt 9:36. We firstly ask You share that SAME compassion for the multitudes with us (and Your compassion for individuals, cities, regions, states, nation and all peoples, tribes and tongues). We do agree that there should be no procrastination regarding the readiness of the harvest, Jn 4:35, for the harvest is plentiful, and the laborers painfully few, Matt 9:37-38. We ask you for laborers for the harvest to be sent out, Lk 10:2, allow the gospel to gain traction in the hearts, lives and witness of believers, Col 1:5-6, and let Your love -- the love of Christ -- compel us, so we no longer live for ourselves, but You who died and rose again on our behalf, 2 Cor 5:14. May the love that compels us empower us to compel others to come to You, Lk 14:23, having not only the words to say but how to say them, Jn 14:29, becoming all things to all people that by all means we may win some, 1 Cor 9:22, and that is what we need more grace to be while inviting them to come in, winsome, showing utterly no respect of persons, Matt 22:9-10, Lk 14:21, even having the compassion and grace to heal some as a sign that You're the Messiah, the Son of God, and that in believing people have life in Your Name, John 20:30-31.

Thank You for revealing to Your beloved Apostle that You came into the World to DESTROY the works of the devil, 1 Jn 3:8, so guard everyone from temptation, evil, Matt 6:13, evil people, imposters, 2 Tim 3:13, and the evil one, John 17:15. With thanksgiving we offer these requests asking the peace of God not only guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, but more importantly, Phil 2:3, theirs at this time. Grant repentance and save souls in that nation, 2 Pet 3:9, 1 Tim 2:1-4, thanks again, always in Jesus' Name.

We lift our hearts in unity, grieving with those who grieve and standing in the gap for the countless lives shattered by this devastating earthquake. The images of destruction and the cries of the afflicted weigh heavily upon us, but we take comfort in knowing that our God is the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ (2 Corinthians 1:3-5).

Lord, we cry out for Your mighty hand to bring order to the chaos, strength to the weary, and hope to the despairing. Calm the hearts of those gripped by fear from the relentless aftershocks, and grant wisdom and endurance to the search and rescue teams as they labor tirelessly to save lives. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for provision, shelter, food, clean water, and medical care, for all who have been displaced or injured. Raise up Your church in that nation to be a beacon of light and love, demonstrating Your compassion in tangible ways.

Yet even as we pray for physical relief, our hearts ache for the spiritual harvest that lies before us. Jesus, You looked upon the multitudes and were moved with compassion, for they were like sheep without a shepherd (Matthew 9:36). We echo Your heart, Lord, and ask that You would stir within us that same compassion, not just for the immediate suffering, but for the eternal destiny of every soul affected by this tragedy. The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, we beg You to send out laborers into Your harvest (Matthew 9:37-38). Raise up pastors, missionaries, and believers who will boldly proclaim the gospel, that many may hear and believe in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

We declare that You came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), and we rebuke the spirit of fear, despair, and hopelessness that seeks to take root in the hearts of the afflicted. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and may the lost be found, the broken be healed, and the weary find rest in You. We pray for repentance and salvation in that nation, that many would turn to You, the only source of true hope and eternal life (2 Peter 3:9). May the gospel take root and bear fruit, growing and increasing in knowledge and depth of insight, as it has been doing since the day they heard and understood Your grace in truth (Colossians 1:5-6).

Father, we ask that You would guard the hearts of believers from temptation and the schemes of the evil one (John 17:15). Protect them from false teachers and deceivers who may seek to exploit this tragedy for their own gain. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105), guiding them into all truth.

We also lift up the leaders and authorities responding to this crisis. Grant them wisdom, discernment, and unity as they make decisions that will impact countless lives. May they seek Your face and be instruments of Your peace and justice.

Lord Jesus, we thank You for Your promise that in this world we will have trouble, but we can take heart because You have overcome the world (John 16:33). We trust in Your sovereignty, even in the midst of this devastation, and we ask that You would use this tragedy for Your glory. May the lost be saved, the broken be restored, and Your name be exalted among the nations.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who died and rose again so that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in that place, as it is in heaven. Amen.

We can’t stop thinking about the sheer magnitude of this quake, how it’s torn apart families, crushed homes, and left so many searching for answers. Yet even in the rubble, we know You’re near to the brokenhearted and save those crushed in spirit.

Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on the injured and terrified. Calm their fears, quiet their trembling, and meet them with Your presence. Give the rescue teams superhuman strength and wisdom as they dig through the wreckage, and provide the displaced with shelter, warmth, and hope.

Father, we also lift up the church there, that they would rise as Your hands and feet, showing love in practical ways. May this crisis become an opportunity for the gospel to spread, for hearts to turn to You, and for Your kingdom to advance in power. Break the spiritual darkness over that nation, reveal Jesus as the only hope, and raise up bold witnesses who will share the good news.

Guard their hearts from discouragement and despair, and protect them from those who would exploit their pain. Strengthen their faith, and let this tragedy draw many to the cross.

Jesus, You calmed the storm, now calm the chaos in their souls. We trust You to turn ashes into beauty and mourning into praise. We ask in Your mighty name.
