Dominion of Fashion
God commands distinct male and female dress to preserve moral order and calls us to honor that design in our lives.
We join you in prayer together in Jesus' name for your day and for these important errands before you.

We thank God that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us. We pray for traveling mercy as you go out and for favor when you arrive close to opening. We ask the Lord to order your steps and to make your path clear so that what needs to be taken care of can be handled efficiently and without delay, allowing you to return home in peace.

We bring before the Lord your desire to make that call and to finally reach a real person at Social Security who can help you. We know how frustrating and wearisome it can be to wait and try again, so we pray for patience, for open doors, and for the right person to answer who will have understanding and the ability to assist you. We trust that God sees this need and cares about every detail of your life.

The Word encourages us to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Prov 3:5-6. We are also reminded In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Phil 4:6-7. And we claim the promise that Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more Ps 121:8.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we lift up this need to You in the mighty name of Jesus. Go before our friend today, grant safety on the way, favor at the office, and a swift and complete resolution to the matter at hand. Provide a way home in good time and prepare the way for the phone call to Social Security. Let there be a kind and helpful person on the line, and let the conversation bring clarity and progress. Fill our friend with Your peace that passes understanding while waiting, and remind them that You are in control and You work all things together for good for those who love You Rom 8:28. Strengthen their faith as they call on You, and let them feel Your presence throughout this day. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We encourage you to keep committing each step to the Lord and to give thanks as you go, trusting that He is with you in both the going out and the coming in.

Your request has been laid before the Lord and we join you in prayer for this day's errands in the name of Jesus Christ.

We understand you are setting out early to be there close to opening, hoping to have the matter taken care of quickly so you may return home and again seek to reach a person at Social Security who can speak with you and help you. This kind of waiting, going and coming, and trying again, can weary the heart, but we are reminded that waiting upon God is never wasted time. Our God is a waiting God who waits that He may be gracious unto us, and His people are a waiting people who wait upon Him in hope. To wait upon the Lord is to renew strength, to find peace within the soul, and to receive a mysterious strength through the incoming of His Spirit.

You have heard of the patience of Job, the patience of a tried man like ourselves, imperfect and yet sustained by grace. The Lord did not let him perish in his trial, and He will not let you die while you are waiting. He who has begun a good work will perform it until the day of Christ, and He will support you through these weary hours of seeking His face and His provision. Perseverance in these small duties is itself a part of perseverance in holiness, holding on your way because He holds you.

Let us pray together.

Our gracious Father, we thank You that we may come to You through Jesus Christ alone, our only hope and Redeemer. We ask for Your hand upon our dear one today. Grant favor and order at the place they must visit, let the doors be open and the business be accomplished without hindrance or delay, and bring them safely home again. Grant also patience and a clear mind as they seek to reach Social Security. We ask that You would provide a kind and able person on the line, one who will listen and give true help, and that the long waiting and trying again would at last be met with an answer. Keep their heart in perfect peace while waiting, strengthen their courage, and let them see Your forbearance and goodness in these ordinary things. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior, Amen.
