Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your burden for your mother and for others in your life who are struggling with mental illness, and we join with you in bringing them before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name.

We know how heavy this can feel, to watch those we love battle in their minds and hearts, and we take comfort that our God sees, hears, and cares deeply. He is not distant from this suffering. Psalm 34:17-18 tells us The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 147:3 reminds us He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

Scripture tells us that God desires to give peace and a sound mind to His children. 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. And Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We claim these promises over your mother and over the others you carry in your heart. We also cling to Isaiah 41:10 where the Lord says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We want to gently share something important with you, as we noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We bring this up out of love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To be saved we must believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, that He died for our sins and rose again. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through Jesus alone that our prayers are heard and that true healing and freedom come, and we encourage you to put your full trust in Him for yourself and for your loved ones.

So together we pray.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear mother to You and every other precious person in this life who is battling mental illness. Lord, You know each one by name, You see their pain, their confusion, their sleepless nights and troubled thoughts. We ask in Jesus' name that You would bring deliverance, healing, and peace that surpasses understanding. Touch their minds, Lord, calm their fears, break every chain of torment and oppression, and restore to them a sound mind filled with Your power, love, and self-control. Let Your healing hand rest upon them and bind up their wounds. Comfort them with Your presence and surround them with Your strength and righteousness. We also pray for the one who submitted this request, that You would give peace, endurance, hope, and wisdom as they support and love those who are suffering, and that You would draw them ever closer to Jesus. We ask that You would guide them to wise and godly help and resources as well, and above all that Your will be done and Your name be glorified in each life. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in faithful prayer, to speak scripture over your mother and your loved ones, and to remind them of God's love and nearness. Keep bringing them before the Lord daily, trusting that He hears and that He is at work even when we cannot yet see the full answer. We are standing with you in prayer for complete freedom and restoration in Christ.

We hear the weight you are carrying as you bring your mother before the Lord, and others you love as well. It is a tender and faithful thing to keep praying for them when the road is long and you cannot fix what hurts them.

Mental health struggles often touch every part of a person and the family who loves them. It is not a sign that you or your mother have failed, and healing often comes slowly with many kinds of help working together. Prayer matters deeply, and so does steady, practical care.

If your mother is not already connected to caring professionals, we gently encourage you to help her stay connected to a doctor or counselor and to a trusted pastor who can walk with your family over time. You do not have to carry this alone either, so letting a small circle of faithful friends or family know how to pray and support you both can make a real difference day to day.

Father, we lift this mother to You and the others this friend loves who are struggling. You see each one, You know their needs, and You are near. Bring comfort, wisdom for every caregiver, and steady hope. Give our friend strength and peace as they love and pray, and help them know Your presence each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your tender request for your mother has been heard, and we join you in bringing her before the throne of grace, together with the others upon your heart who bear a like affliction.

We know what it is to carry a burden for those we love when the mind is troubled and the spirits are cast down. There is a great Physician, and His healing virtue is abundant. As it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves, His gentlest touches, His most common mercies, are full of power to restore. Yonder Sun of Righteousness rises with healing beneath His wings, and He alone can work deliverance when the midnight of despair sits upon the soul.

We are taught that He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. There are many forms of a broken heart, and for a season the children of God may endure much mental agony, yet the Lord has not shut His ear. He has found a ransom, and through that ransom, the precious blood of the Lamb, He brings forth His people from the pit. Deliverance from cruel captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone, and what He does is effectual. He does not merely pity, He delivers, and He enriches those He delivers with His grace.

We will pray that the Lord, in His infinite mercy, will look upon your mother and upon each one you have named, that He will grant them conscious, God given freedom in mind and spirit, that He will calm the inward storm, lift the darkness, and give quietness and rest. We ask that He will give wisdom to those who care for them, and that He will sustain you as you watch and intercede, that you may not grow weary in well doing.

May you be enabled to trust Him who has said, I have found a ransom. Cast their cause and your own cares upon Him who cares for you, and declare, even in affliction, the works of the Lord. For when He chastens He also comforts, and when He wounds He makes whole, and many in like trouble have found that after crossing the brook with fear and trembling, they have met with mercy on the other side.

We commend you and your loved ones to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless, praying that pardon and healing, which are joined together in Christ, may be known in your household, and that you may live to declare His goodness.
