We have received your request for prayer for healing from high blood pressure and we are joining you in prayer to the Lord who is the true physician of both soul and body.

We pray that God in His mercy would touch your body and grant you healing and strength. As the Gospels show, when Christ touched those who were ill He not only removed the fever but restored them to full health at once, showing a power no human art can equal. We ask Him to show that same merciful power in you, to calm your heart, to steady your blood pressure, and to grant you peace and renewed health according to His will. We also pray that He would give wisdom to your doctors and guide any treatment and care you receive, so that all means used may work for your good.

We also pray that God would help you to care for the body He has given you with wisdom and balance. Scripture teaches us that sufficiency is nourishment and health, while excess burdens the body and brings injury and disease. We ask the Lord to give you grace to find that right measure in food and drink, in rest and labor, and to cast your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you. May He free you from fear and grant you quietness of heart, and may you know His presence and comfort each day as you trust Him.

We will continue to pray for you, that the Lord would strengthen you, keep you in His peace, and restore you to health for His glory.

Thank you for sharing this need and allowing us to pray with you about your blood pressure. It is good to bring your body and your health to the Lord, because He cares for the whole person.

Scripture teaches that the life of the flesh is in the blood, and that God gave the blood upon the altar to make atonement for the soul. That is why blood was treated with such reverence in the old covenant. The high priest could only enter the Holy of Holies once a year, and never without blood, first for his own sins and then for the sins of the people. Those sacrifices had to be repeated year after year, which showed they could never fully take away sin. They could only cover it for a time.

But Jesus Christ has become our great High Priest. He has passed into heaven itself to appear in the presence of God for us, and He did not enter with the blood of bulls and goats, but with His own blood. He entered once for all and obtained eternal redemption. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin, and Jesus shed His blood to cleanse us from all sin and to establish a new covenant that will never need to be repeated.

Because we have such a High Priest, we are invited to come boldly to the throne of grace to find mercy and help in time of need. You do not come on your own merit, but through the blood that has already been shed for you. That same suffering of Jesus also made provision for healing. The prophet declared that by His wounds we are healed, and the Gospel shows Jesus bearing our sicknesses as well as our sins, even to the last healing He performed on the night He was betrayed.

So we bring your blood pressure before the Lord with confidence in that finished work.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come boldly to Your throne of grace on behalf of this dear one. Thank You for the blood of Jesus shed once for all for forgiveness, cleansing, and life. You know the body You created, You know how blood sustains life, and You know this struggle with high blood pressure. We ask for Your healing touch, that You would bring this body into balance and health according to Your mercy. Calm the heart, steady the flow of blood, and strengthen every part that is under strain. Give wisdom to follow what is good for health, peace to rest in Your care, and faith to trust You day by day. Let Your healing power be known, and let Your name be praised in this body. We ask this through Jesus our great High Priest who ever lives to intercede for us. Amen.

We will continue to pray for you. Keep seeking the Lord, trusting in the blood of His Son for every need of body and soul, and continue to walk closely with Him who is your life and your healer.
