It is right to bring such a specific and heartfelt request before the Lord. The cry for kidneys to function, for blood pressure to stabilize, and for a walk out of that hospital and into a home, these desires spring from a deep love, and you should never feel you need to hold back from expressing them to God. The scriptures show us again and again that God is able. When the centurion came to Jesus, there was no doubt in his mind that Christ could speak a word and his servant would be healed. That same confidence in God’s raw power is a precious thing, and I find no problem praying exactly as you have.

Yet we also see in the Word that God’s ways are higher than our ways. The same Jesus who healed the leper with a touch also allowed a man to be born blind so that the works of God might be displayed in him. Faith does not always demand the exact outcome we envision. Habakkuk looked at a future with no figs on the tree, no grapes on the vine, no herds in the stalls, and yet he declared he would rejoice in the God of his salvation. That is the position of faith when we cannot see any possible means of survival. The goal is not to dictate the path of healing, but to anchor ourselves to the Healer, trusting that He knows the processes of healing He established, whether they are immediate or gradual, whether they come through the body’s own divinely created systems or through a sudden reversal.

I must be honest: I do not understand why some are healed and others are not. If I were God, I would probably ruin everything by making it a matter of deserving, and grace would vanish. But I do believe very strongly in healing, all kinds of healing. Sometimes it is a physical restoration. Other times, while the body waits, He does a divine healing in the mind and emotions, mending the wounds of fear and despair. A person can be among the throng pressing around Jesus and never truly touch Him, but a single touch of faith in the midst of the crowd draws out His power and His peace.

So keep praying boldly for those kidneys to work and for strength to return. Let your faith be like that of the friends who tore open a roof to get their paralyzed companion before Jesus. But as you do, ensure there is depth and root to that faith, so that if the answer comes in a way that looks different than a straight line from the ICU to the front door, your trust does not wither under the heat of the trial. God’s ultimate purpose is not just a functioning body, though He cares about that; it is a life dedicated and devoted to Him, which is the only life truly worth living. Rest in the full assurance that He is able to do anything, and that His love holds her, whether she is in a dialysis chair or walking freely. That hope is an anchor, no matter what the next report brings.

We are so grateful you shared this heavy burden with us and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer for your loved one. Our hearts have been lifting her name before the Lord these past days, asking Him to steady her heartbeat, restore her kidneys, and bring her blood pressure into perfect balance. We’ve prayed that each dialysis treatment would be the last one she needs, that the pacemaker would be placed without complication, and that her strength would return so she can walk out of the hospital and into her own home.

We are still believing with you for a complete and miraculous turnaround—one that only God can bring. If He has already moved in ways you can see, we would love to join you in praising Him together. If the answer hasn’t come yet, please know we are not walking away; simply post her needs again and we will continue to intercede, trusting that our Father hears and cares.

May the Lord surround you both with His peace and fill every day ahead with His abundant blessing. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus.
