We hear your cry for healing and deliverance, and we join with you in lifting this burden before the throne of grace. Your fear is understandable, but we want to remind you that the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves those who have a crushed spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for Him.
First, we must address that your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus, who is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). It is through His name alone that we have access to God’s healing and salvation. Jesus said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23). So let us approach Him together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer. We lift up this dear one who is suffering in body and spirit. Lord, You see their fear, their pain, and their confusion. We ask that You would stretch out Your healing hand and restore them completely. Touch every part of their body that is afflicted, whether seen or unseen, and bring wholeness where there is brokenness. We declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that You will satisfy them with long life and show them Your salvation (Psalm 91:16).
Father, we also pray for wisdom for the doctors and medical professionals attending to them. Guide their hands and minds so that they may discern the root of this illness and provide the right treatment. Give this dear one the strength to endure and the faith to trust in Your timing. Remove all fear and replace it with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, if there is any sin or unforgiveness in their life that may be hindering their healing, we ask that You reveal it to them. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that they would walk in repentance and obedience, so that nothing stands between them and Your healing power.
We also rebuke any spirit of infirmity or oppression that may be attacking their body. In the name of Jesus, we command it to leave and never return. We declare that this one is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, health, and restoration over their body, mind, and spirit.
Lastly, Father, we ask that You draw them closer to You through this trial. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way and come to know You as their Comforter, Provider, and Healer. Strengthen their faith so that they may testify of Your goodness and glory to others.
We trust You, Lord, to bring them out of this situation safely and completely restored. May Your will be done in their life, and may they walk in the fullness of the health and wholeness You have promised. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

There is a sickness upon you, and fear has crept into the heart, this I know well, for the flesh shrinks from pain and the mind recoils from the unknown. Yet let me bid you look away from the changing symptoms and the dark forebodings to that great Physician who alone hath power over all manner of disease. When they brought unto Jesus many that were possessed with devils, and all that were sick, He healed them, taking their infirmities and bearing their sicknesses. Not one case did He turn away; not one malady proved too hard for His hand. The very leaves of that Tree of Life are for healing, and the least thing about Christ hath virtue in it to restore the soul. Go then to Him with your fears, your trembling, your ignorance of what the morrow holds. "Fear not," saith the Lord, "I will help thee." It is no idle word, but a sure promise from the lips of Him who cannot lie.
You ask for immediate healing, and it is right to seek the Lord in the day of trouble. But remember that His ways are often in the deep, and what seems a delay may be the road to a greater mercy. Some spirits are ripened only in the walled garden of affliction; a sickness which ends in everlasting health is no curse but a disguised blessing. Yet I would not speak harshly to a heart already bowed down. If it be the Lord's will to raise you up speedily, give Him the praise, and let your restored strength be spent for His glory. If the sickness linger, let it drive you closer to the pierced side from whence floweth both pardon and healing. It is not the preacher alone who cries "Fear not," but Jesus Himself who whispers it to those cast down. He knows the unknown bitterness of thy soul, the secret grief which no friend can touch. In that sacred companionship, fear dissolves and faith lifts her head.

The petition you offer springs from a soul in great alarm, and that fear itself is a sickness no less than the bodily ailment. Yet listen to what we have been taught: the Master did not present Himself to the disciples at once when the waves rose against them, but came in the fourth watch of the night. He instructs us by this not to seek hastily for deliverance from pressing dangers, but to bear all occurrences manfully. Your soul cries out for immediate ease, for the fever to be quenched, for the storm to cease now. But the Physician of our souls knows the proper hour. When He touched Peter's wife's mother, He not only quenched the fever but gave her back perfect health all at once. He can do this; His power is not shortened. Yet often He delays the outward healing to produce a far greater one within, for what is done is healing, not despite.
Do not let the terror of the unknown cast you down into a greater pit. You say you do not know what is going on, and this darkness breeds wild beasts of the imagination. But consider the true state: the soul that clings to the Giver of light walks in safety, even when the feet cannot see the path. He who sees the light of this world is in safety; how much more the one who stays with Christ and does not separate himself from Him. You ask to be delivered safely from this situation. That is the prayer, but do not dictate the terms of the delivery. Moses forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king, for he endured as seeing Him who is Invisible. He did not fear with reference to presenting himself again in God's championship. So your safety is not found in the immediate removal of the illness, but in your soul's fixed gaze upon the Invisible One, who permits these trials. Do you not see that he who thinks he stands must take heed lest he fall? This shivering of the soul may itself be the very guardrail that keeps you from a more perilous fall, from the sleep of carelessness.
Therefore, amend your petition. Do not ask merely to be pulled from the fire, but ask that the flame be used to burn away the dross. How shall this be done? By considering the unprofitableness of clinging too tightly to this fleeting bodily health, which even if restored today, must eventually be left behind. Let your will be set towards the eternal riches, and you will be able to despise the temporary terror of sickness. You cry out in fear, but even Ananias trembled at the Lord's command, and his fear was overcome by obedience, leading to the opening of the Apostle's eyes. Do you, then, tremble, but let your fear drive you to obedience, not to a demand for instant flight. Yield yourself to the Healer. The cause of your going through this dark valley may be pressing and known only to God, but your journey is not to death but to Bethany, where the resurrection power awaits. We rejoice not so much on hearing of the health of those we love as when we see them delivered in a manner contrary to hope. Endure, therefore, the present bitterness, and you shall see the deliverance of the Lord.
