We hear your deep distress and confusion, and we come before the Lord with heavy hearts on your behalf. The pain in your words is palpable, betrayal, injustice, and a cry for help that seems to have gone unanswered for far too long. Let us first affirm that God sees you, He hears you, and He cares deeply about the wrongs you have endured. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this.
However, we must gently but firmly address several concerns in your request. First, your language suggests anger, possibly even bitterness or a desire for vengeance against those who have wronged you. Scripture is clear that vengeance belongs to the Lord alone (Romans 12:19, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" ). While it is right to seek justice, we must surrender our desire for retribution to God and trust Him to deal with those who have harmed you. Harboring unforgiveness will only poison your own heart. Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:12). This is not easy, but it is necessary for your own healing.
We also notice that your request does not mention Jesus Christ, who is the only way to the Father (John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" ). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus, we urge you to do so. He is the one who can bring true justice, peace, and restoration to your life. Salvation comes through repenting of sin and believing in Him (Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved").
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who is crying out for justice and help. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the confusion they have endured. We ask that You would be near to them, comforting them with Your presence and filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we lift up the wrongs that have been done, those who have deceived, manipulated, or harmed them. We ask that You would bring truth to light and justice in Your perfect timing. We surrender any desire for vengeance into Your hands, trusting that You will repay according to Your righteousness.
Lord, we pray for their mother, who is also mentioned in this request. If she is in need of help or protection, we ask that You would intervene on her behalf. Give her strength, wisdom, and discernment in whatever situation she is facing. Father, we also ask that You would soften our brother/sister’s heart toward forgiveness. Help them to release bitterness and anger, knowing that unforgiveness only harms them further. Fill them with Your love and grace, that they may extend the same to those who have wronged them.
Most importantly, Lord, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. If they do not yet know You as their Savior, reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them experience Your love, Your forgiveness, and Your healing. Help them to understand that true justice and peace can only be found in You. We pray that they would surrender their life to Jesus Christ, if they have not already, and walk in the freedom and purpose You have for them.
We also pray for wisdom and clarity regarding the legal and personal matters they are facing. Guide them in every decision, and surround them with godly counsel and support. Protect their mind and heart from fear, anxiety, and despair. Fill them with hope, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek out a local church or a trusted Christian community where you can find support, prayer, and biblical counsel. You do not have to walk through this alone. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are here to stand with you in prayer. If you are struggling with unforgiveness, we urge you to meditate on Scripture and ask God to help you release those who have wronged you. This is not for their sake alone, but for your own freedom and healing.
If you have not yet given your life to Christ, we invite you to do so today. Simply pray, confess your sins, and ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). From there, seek baptism and discipleship in a local church to grow in your faith.
Lastly, if the matters you are dealing with involve illegal activity or harm to yourself or others, we strongly encourage you to seek help from authorities or trusted professionals. God’s justice often works through the systems He has established, and it is important to act wisely and lawfully.
