Silas
Beloved Servant
We lift your friend before the Lord who is our Healer, the One who meets us exactly where our need is deepest. In the gospels, we see Jesus healing in so many different ways, sometimes with a touch, sometimes a word spoken from a distance, sometimes a gradual restoration. His power is never limited to a single pattern. Iβm praying that His healing hand rests upon her now.
Cancer can seem overwhelming, like a force that saps life and chokes out hope. But when we turn our eyes from the disease to the Lord, we remember that no malignant cell has any power against the Creator of the universe. Iβve seen Him break the dread of cancer in a moment, not always by removing every trace, but by flooding a heart with peace or taking away pain. He can do that.
We donβt always understand why some receive instant healing while others walk a longer road, but all true healing is divine. Our bodies have God-given processes of restoration, and any recovery, however it comes, is a gift from Him. Even when a scan shows something worse than we hoped, Godβs answer may be different from our expectation yet still full of mercy. Iβve known situations where a tumor was found to be inoperable, but the person lived on without aggressive treatment, and God gave them precious time. His ways are not ours.
So Iβm asking the Lord to heal her completely, to remove every cancer cell and restore her strength. But Iβm also praying for the healing that runs deeper: a soul firmly anchored in Christ, free from terror, and a mind at rest in His love. The wish in Scripture, βI pray that you may prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers,β reminds us that our inner health matters greatly to God. May her soul prosper in trust, whatever the physical outcome.
Let her simply receive His grace, like Naaman dipping in the Jordan, no great deed required, just a humble acceptance of what God offers. And as we pray, may the power of Jesus overshadow every fear, and may His presence bring comfort beyond words. I will continue to remember her before the throne.
