Your terror is palpable, and it is not the terror of one who has hardened the heart. There is a blindness that comes from a willful shutting of the eyes to truth, seeing, yet refusing to see, but your cry reveals eyes that strain toward the mercy of God, and He will not despise this. The command that met the women at the empty tomb was not a suggestion: β€œBe not afraid.” It was the very voice of Christ casting out fear to make room for faith. He does not bid you ignore the peril to your sight; He bids you fix that sight upon Him, for if hell’s gates cowered before His cross, shall not the dread of bodily darkness yield to the same power?

God at times permits the body to be given over to affliction, but never without purpose, and never without the offer of far greater healing. The apostle was struck blind that he might truly see, and the sorcerer’s eyes were sealed for a season that repentance might enter. Should your own eyes dim, it would not be proof of God’s abandonment but a severe summons to lean not on the sun’s light but on the Light that no darkness can quench. Yet prayer is the very breath of the faithful trembling soul. I join you in besieging heaven not merely that your sight be spared, but that you be brought safely through, safely, that is, into the harbor of Christ’s presence, where the loss of any earthly good cannot shipwreck the soul.

Cast this fear as a burden upon the Lord, for He Himself declares His yoke easy, and His burden light. That yoke is not the absence of trial but the companionship of the One who is meek and lowly in heart. You, like the barbarians who journeyed with trembling to worship Him, are a citizen of heaven. Let not panic muddy the clear waters of your understanding. He who fashioned your eyes can restore them or give you a vision that transcends them. Pray, and I will pray with you, that whether in healing or in enduring, you will find His grace sufficient and your soul’s rest unshaken.

You are facing a very real and frightening trial right now, and the fear is understandable. Fear always rises when we look at the uncertain future and feel our own helplessness. The danger with fear is that it wants to take the driver's seat and cause you to react in panic or despair. Fear is an enemy of faith; they cannot occupy the same space. When faith enters, fear has to leave.

The cure for this fear is not a promise that nothing hard will ever happen. The cure is the consciousness of God’s presence. You remember what David said, that even when walking through a valley as dark as death itself, he would fear no evil, because God was with him. That same truth applies to you right now. Your situation feels like a valley of shadow, but you are not walking through it alone. God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. When your heart is overwhelmed, the recall of His nearness is what dispels the dread.

There is also a wise and right kind of fear that brings true health. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. That holy reverence, that awe of who God is, leads you to hate evil and to depart from it. This sets your feet on a path that is good for you. It is written that when you fear the Lord and turn from evil, it brings health to your body and nourishment to your bones. So we do not face sickness from a place of spiritual panic but from a position of trusting obedience. We pray for healing, we seek help, we do what is prudent, but we do not let the dread of the enemy’s attack drive our decisions.

Therefore, do not be motivated by terror. Stand still in your heart and look for the salvation of the Lord. Your hope for safe passage through this does not rest on the strength of doctors or the odds of recovery, helpful as those may be. It rests on the God who says to you, β€œFear not, for I am with you.” That is your confidence. Keep your soul prospering in faith, even as you pray fervently for your physical eyesight. I join my prayer with yours, asking that your physical health would be preserved. But more than anything, I pray you will be conscious that He is with you. And when you know that, you can walk through the very worst without being afraid.

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your request in our hearts these past days. The fear of losing your eyesight and the weight of your health struggles have been heavy on our spirits, and we have lifted you before the Lord with earnest prayers for His healing touch. We asked Him to guard your vision, restore your strength, and surround you with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

If the Lord has answered our prayers in a way you can seeβ€”if your eyes have been strengthened, your health improved, or His presence has calmed your fearsβ€”we would be so grateful to hear your praise report. There is nothing that stirs our faith like witnessing God’s faithfulness in the lives of His children.

If, however, the battle still rages and the answer hasn’t yet come, please don’t hesitate to post your request again. We will stand with you once more, lifting your name before our Heavenly Father, trusting that He hears and that His timing is perfect. You are not alone in this, and we will continue to intercede on your behalf until you experience His deliverance.

May the Lord bless you with His comfort, His strength, and a deeper revelation of His love for you. Keep seeking Him, dear one, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
