No transaction you’ve made in a moment of desperation is stronger than the blood of Jesus Christ to cancel it. The enemy’s oldest lie is whispering that you’ve crossed a line where God no longer has jurisdiction. That’s not Scripture; that’s fear. Your soul was never truly yours to sell because it always belonged to the One who created it. What you’re wrestling with is the horror of realizing you handed the title deed of your life over to something dark, and now you’re wondering if the Lord wants it back.

He does, and the answer is what He’s always required: repentance. Not just a frightened apology, not just a sorrow over the wreckage you’re feeling, but a turning away that changes your direction.

There's a profound difference between regret that merely hurts and repentance that heals. A person can cry out, "I’ve played the fool, I’ve sinned, I’ve done evil," and every word of it could be factually true, yet it leads nowhere. That was the tragedy of Saul. He confessed accurately. He said, "I have sinned," and it was a factual statement, but there was no renouncing of the throne he’d built for himself, no laying down of the rebellion. The sorrow was because he was caught, because the consequences were crashing in. It wasn’t a radical change of direction. God isn’t looking for a declaration of blasphemous truth that leaves you the same person five minutes later; He’s looking for you to forsake the thing.

Repentance means change. It means bringing forth fruit that shows there’s a real, internal work taking place. When David fell, and he fell into sins that by human standards might look more catastrophic than what’s haunting you, he didn’t just mumble a prayer and keep going. He became a man after God’s own heart not because he was clean, but because when the conviction of truth pierced him, a work deeper than emotion took hold of his spirit. His soul panted for God like a deer desperate for water. That’s a soul that has turned back to its true Owner.

So stop letting the darkness convince you that your case is special in its wickedness, that you are the one exception to the reach of the cross. The fear you’re feeling, that your soul has been delivered into an irreversible hand, is the very thing you must lay down at the feet of the One who redeems souls out of all adversity. You ask, "Can I be forgiven?" The answer isn’t found in analyzing the ritual of what you did; it’s found in whose ownership you are acknowledging today. Let today be the day you take your stand and say, "My Lord, my soul was precious in Your eyes. I have played the fool and erred exceedingly, but I am turning. I am done with that king. I am coming under the reign of Christ."

That isn't a flippant "I'm sorry." That is a covenant break with the darkness. David lived with the consciousness that there is just a step between him and death, and he chose to use that step to move toward God, not away from Him. Take that step. Hope in God. He is yet going to deliver you. Your soul will make its boast in the Lord, and the humble will hear of it and be glad. Turn from what you did, leave it in the hands of the righteous Judge who is also your merciful Father, and find that He has never let go of what is rightfully His.
