We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who has suffered a heart attack and the subsequent lack of oxygen to the brain. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. We know that nothing is too hard for You, and we ask for Your healing touch to restore strength, clarity, and full recovery to this beloved child of Yours.
Lord, we declare Your word over this situation: *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* (James 5:14-15 WEB). We stand in faith, believing that You are working even now to bring restoration. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command every cell, tissue, and organ to align with Your perfect design for wholeness.
We also ask for Your peace to guard the heart and mind of this one and their loved ones. The road to recovery can be long and wearisome, but You promise in Your word: *"Those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* (Isaiah 40:31 WEB). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their ever-present help in times of trouble.
If there are areas in this one’s life that need repentance or surrender, we pray for conviction and a soft heart to turn fully toward You. Healing is not just physical but spiritual as well, and we ask that You draw near, revealing Yourself in deeper ways through this trial. May this season be one of refining, where faith is purified and trust in You grows stronger.
Above all, we pray that this precious soul knows You as Savior and Lord. If they have not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ, we ask that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus died for their sins, rose again, and offers eternal life to all who believe. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."* (John 3:16 WEB). May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with the heart that one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10 WEB).
We commit this one into Your loving hands, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every aspect of this journey. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
