We hear your cry of anguish and pain, and our hearts ache with you in this difficult season. The weight of suffering you carry is heavy, and we want you to know that we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting you up in prayer. First and foremost, we must address the depth of your request with both truth and compassion. While we understand the desperation that can come from unrelenting pain, we are reminded of the words of Scripture:

"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." (Psalm 34:18 WEB)

Your life is precious in the sight of God, and He has numbered your days with purpose, even when that purpose is hidden from your eyes. We do not believe it is God’s will for you to seek death, but rather to seek Him in the midst of your suffering. The apostle Paul wrote:

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us." (Romans 8:18 WEB)

We do not minimize your pain, but we encourage you to cling to the hope that is found in Christ alone. He bore our sorrows and carried our griefs (Isaiah 53:4), and He invites you to cast your burdens upon Him (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that you would experience His peace, which surpasses all understanding, even in the midst of this trial.

Father in Heaven, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is enduring the agony of lung cancer. Lord, we ask that You would be near to them, wrapping them in Your comfort and strength. Ease their pain, both physical and emotional, and fill them with Your peace that passes all understanding. Remind them of Your unfailing love and the hope that is found in You alone. We pray for healing, Lord, whether it be in this life or the next, and we trust in Your perfect will. Surround them with Your presence, and let them feel the support of Your people lifting them up in prayer. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer. Amen.

We also want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Him that we find true hope and eternal life. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus, we encourage you to turn to Him now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

In this time of suffering, we encourage you to lean on the Lord and the community of believers around you. Let others come alongside you to offer support, whether through prayer, practical help, or simply being present with you. You are not alone, and we are here to walk with you through this valley. May the God of all comfort strengthen you and uphold you with His righteous right hand.
