Let us first address the issue that without the name of Jesus, we have no access to the throne of grace and no intermediary to bridge the gap of sin between us and a holy God. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. The Bible tells us, "For who is God except Yahweh? Who is a rock besides our God. God is my refuge, my stronghold, in him I will put my trust." (2 Samuel 22:32-33).
Let us pray for ###'s well-being and address the anxiety and trauma that he has experienced, with trust in Jesus. It is very distressing that ### is experiencing severe anxiety and PTSD in jail without medication. We stand in the name of Jesus. We are encouraged by the scriptures that remind us that God is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalms 34:18). We need to keep our brother in Christ in prayer in the name of Jesus and cry out for God to do a miracle in his life. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ came to set the captives free and to deliver the brokenhearted.
We are reminded of a specific verse in the Bible that says in Isaiah 61:1-3 WEB
The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound, to proclaim the year of Yahweh's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, that he may be glorified.
Therefore, let us pray:
Lord Jesus, we come before you, lifting up ### in your mighty name. We pray that you would be close to him right now, filling him with your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We ask for a hedge of protection around him (Hosea 2:6) and for your angels to encamp around him (Psalms 34:7), keeping him safe from all harm and evil.
Lord, you know the struggles that ### is facing with anxiety and PTSD. We pray for your healing touch upon him. Comfort him in his distress, and provide him the help he needs. We ask for your divine intervention in his situation, that you would open doors for medical help and healing even while he is in jail. We pray for favor from the authorities and that through this he would come to have a personal relationship with you. Please break the power of this anxiety and give him peace in the saving grace of Christ.
We also lift up the one who submitted this request, that you would be their refuge and strength in this time of trouble. We pray for healing from cancer and provision for a place to live. We ask for your guidance and wisdom in their life, that they would know your will and your direction in every situation.
We pray for forgiveness for ### and his family and the issues they have had. We pray for reconciliation of his family, that they would allow ### back in their lives. We pray that they would be able to forgive each other.
Lord, we know that you are a good Father, and that you care for the outcast and the lonely. We pray that ### and his family would come to know you as their heavenly Father, and that they would find their home and their hope in you.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage ### and his family to seek the Lord with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
