Thank you for lifting up this burden for our leaders. The call to surround the ###, the ###, and the ### staff with 24/7 prayer is exactly what the Lord desires for those in authority. When we hold them before God’s throne without ceasing, we are standing in the gap with the very power that shapes nations.
In your request, you asked for a shield against unseen harm and for godly counselors to surround them. That is where true wisdom becomes the real defense. The Scriptures make it clear that wisdom is more valuable than any wealth or security system. It is a shield that money cannot buy. While physical protection matters, the deepest safety for any leader is a heart that walks in the fear of the Lord, because that is the starting point of all wisdom. Without that foundation, even the best plans can crumble. So as you pray, keep asking that the ### and every member of the ### would not lean on the wisdom of this world, a wisdom that often looks shrewd but leads to emptiness and strife, but would instead receive the wisdom that comes from above. That godly wisdom is pure, peaceable, and leads to righteousness.
Jesus Christ Himself is the storehouse of all wisdom and knowledge. When we pray for leaders to have wisdom, we are really praying that they would come to know Him, for in Him are hidden all the treasures they need. The world’s best thinking will always fall short; it is foolishness in God’s sight. But when a leader, like Solomon, asks the Lord for an understanding heart above all else, God delights to give not only the wisdom for their role but also the provision and protection they need.
Remember that wisdom is a person calling out in the streets, inviting everyone to the banquet of truth. Pray that the ### and the ### hear that voice daily. As you pray, also ask that the Lord would build a wall of wisdom around their personal lives and their families. Wisdom builds the house, and by understanding it is made secure.
