We join with you in this burden for the church and for those who shepherd it, and we count it a faithful and urgent prayer before the Lord.

We hear your cry for church leaders to be strengthened in their inner lives, for any lost pastors to be truly saved, and for the lukewarm and backslidden to be rekindled and for devoted believers to be protected and established. This aligns fully with the heart of Scripture.

We are reminded of the solemn charge in 2 Tim 4:1-5 to preach the word, to be urgent in season and out of season, to reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching, and to fulfill our ministry with a sober mind and endurance. And we pray with you from Eph 3:16 that leaders would be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner person, that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith. We also take seriously 1 Tim 4:16 to pay close attention to ourselves and to our teaching, for by persevering in these things we will save both ourselves and those who hear us.

Your reference to Matt 7:21-23 is a necessary warning and we do not take it lightly. Not everyone who says Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of the Father. It is possible to prophesy and do mighty works in His name and yet not know Him. Therefore we pray that any pastor or preacher who has never been born again would be convicted by the Holy Spirit in John 16:8 and truly converted, that none would be disqualified after having preached to others as warned in 1 Cor 9:27. We pray for the seeking and saving work of Christ in Luke 19:10 to reach even the pulpit, for as 1 Tim 1:15 says, Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

We also lift up those who have grown cold or wandered. We claim the promise of James 5:19-20 that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins, and the call of Rev 3:19-20 where the Lord rebukes and disciplines those He loves and stands at the door and knocks, that the lukewarm would open to Him and be renewed in first love. And for those who are devoted yet imperfect but perfect-hearted before Him, walking in covenantal righteousness as in Luke 1:6 and abiding in His word as in John 8:31, we pray for strengthening and protection.

We agree with you for authentic worship and ministry. We pray for worship in spirit and truth as in John 4:23-24, not only everywhere but especially when we gather together as family, for how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity as in Ps 133:1. We pray for pastors and teachers to be workmen who do not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth as in 2 Tim 2:15, with open ears in the congregation to receive it, resulting in first century style devotion like Acts 2:42, in prayer, study, worship, family, work, ministry, fellowship and friendship evangelism, in prisons, schools, hospitals and wherever the lost may be found. We agree that we desire biblical church growth that is the salvation of the lost through the true gospel, not the mere transfer of sheep or numbers gathered by an anthropocentric gospel of false comfort which cannot save.

We also join you in praying for safety across the globe, for angelic protection as in Ps 91:11 and Heb 1:14, for advanced warnings and deliverance like Elisha received in 2 Kings 6:8-12, and for deliverance from unreasonable and evil people as in 2 Thes 3:2. We pray as Jesus prayed in John 17:15 that the Father would keep us from the evil one, for we know from 1 John 5:18 that he who is born of God keeps himself and the evil one does not touch him.

We pray for pastors to seek God in prayer and daily devotion, in preparation and intercession for the flock, in sound doctrine and in visiting families and house churches, living lives worthy of the calling. And we pray that our families would be drawn by the Father as in John 6:44 and not forsake assembling together as in Heb 10:25, but receive the word with faith as in Rom 10:17, by the Father's revelation of the Messiah as in Matt 16:17, with the humility that saves the soul as in James 1:21, whether through the testimony of a friend, an evangelist or a tract, overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the word of testimony as in Rev 12:11, by the anointing of the Holy Spirit who teaches us all things as in John 14:26 and 1 John 2:20.

So we pray together now.

Father, You are our ever present help as in Ps 46:1 and Deut 4:7, and You have shown Your love in giving Your Anointed who was crucified for our sins as in Gal 2:20. We thank You for that mercy. We ask You to draw our family members and loved ones whenever the doors are open, and we ask You to open doors more often for corporate prayer as Your house is to be called a house of prayer for all peoples as in Isa 56:7. Forgive us for prayerlessness and grant to pastors first and to all of us a spirit of prayer, to seek You with all our heart to hear and understand what You are speaking as in Matt 16:17 and John 16:13. Grant Your manifest holy presence, grant faith and repentance and salvation and the knowledge of forgiveness and newness of life. Give vision as in Prov 29:18 by Your Holy Spirit. Give us hunger for Your word as newborn babes crave milk as in 1 Pet 2:2, and the spirit of wisdom and revelation as in Eph 1:17, for flesh and blood does not reveal Christ but our Father in heaven. Open our minds to understand the Scriptures as in Luke 24:45 and teach us all things.

Lord, You desire that none would perish but all would come to repentance as in 2 Pet 3:9, and that all would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth as in 1 Tim 2:4. We ask for the salvation of our households as in Acts 16:31 and for all in authority. We ask in faith believing that when we ask according to Your will You hear us as in 1 John 5:14-15 and Mark 11:24, and that faith comes by hearing Your word preached as in Rom 10:17. So seek and save the lost as in Luke 19:10. Keep Your people from distraction as in 2 Cor 11:3, from deception as in Matt 24:4, from temptation as in Luke 11:4, from lies and false teachers as in Tit 1:16 and 2 Tim 3:5 and from deceivers who grow worse as in 2 Tim 3:13. Keep us from sin and fear and pride, from evil people as in 2 Thes 3:2 and from the evil one who is the deceiver of the whole world as in Rev 12:9. Deliver us from evil as in Matt 6:13 and establish us and guard us from the evil one as in 2 Thes 3:3. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus as in Phil 4:6-7.

We ask all of this in the only name by which we have access to You and by which we are saved, the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved as in Acts 4:12, and no one comes to the Father except through Him as in John 14:6. Let Your will be done in Your church for Your glory. Amen.

We hear the weight of what you are carrying for your church family and for pastors everywhere. Wanting leaders to be strengthened in prayer and in the Word, longing for any who are lost or have grown cold to be restored, and asking for the faithful to be kept and protected is a deep and loving burden to bring before the Lord.

It is easy to think of pastors only as those who give care, but they need care for their own souls as well. Growth in prayer, study, worship and faithful living is not a quick fix but more like long training over time, with small, steady steps. That perspective can help take some pressure off as you keep praying, God is at work in the quiet, daily faithfulness that others may not see, and He uses the whole congregation to encourage and uphold one another.

One simple way to keep this from feeling overwhelming is to keep a short, focused list of a few leaders and families by name and bring them to the Lord regularly as you are able, trusting He hears each prayer.

Father, we lift to You the pastors and leaders on this heart, and every believer who gathers to worship and hear Your Word. Draw each one closer to Yourself, renew love where it has grown cold, strengthen those who are weary, and keep Your people from the evil one. Give wisdom, protection and fresh hunger for You, and help Your church to walk together in truth and love. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your earnest pleading for the household of faith is heard, and it is a right and weighty burden to bring before the throne of grace. We join you in asking the Lord to do what none but He can do, for as we are taught, nobody can revive us but the Lord Himself. We cannot get up a revival by our own might or power, but only by His Spirit, and dependence upon God is the very soul of such prayer.

We pray with you, Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You. We ask that this revival may bring forth fruit that gives to God the most glory, for preaching is only the stalk, but conversion, prayer and praise are the full corn in the golden ear. May the Lord pour fresh strength into His weak children and put the living fire into any who have grown lukewarm.

For those who labor in the Word, we plead Ephesians 3:16-20, that they may be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man, and 2 Timothy 4:1-5, that they may preach the Word, be instant in season and out of season, watch in all things and do the work of an evangelist with fidelity. We ask that pastors and preachers may be men of prayer, daily devotion, diligent study to rightly divide the word of truth according to 2 Timothy 2:15, sound teaching, and holy living, shepherding families and visiting homes as faithful stewards.

For any who stand in the pulpit yet are not known by Christ, we pray with trembling the warning of Matthew 7:21-23, that none may rest in saying Lord, Lord while working lawlessness, but may be truly converted and take heed to themselves and to the doctrine to save both themselves and their hearers, 1 Timothy 4:16. We ask the Lord who came to seek and to save that which was lost, Luke 19:10, to rescue the lost, to restore the backslidden, and to rekindle the lukewarm, as James 5:19-20 promises that he who converts a sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death. May those once near to Christ hear Him again say, Behold, I stand at the door and knock, Revelation 3:20, and open to Him.

For devoted believers, imperfect yet perfect hearted toward Him, we ask that the Lord keep them in communion with Jesus by the Holy Spirit, John 8:31-32, that they may worship in spirit and in truth, John 4:23-24, and not forsake the assembling of themselves together, Hebrews 10:25, but be built together as family, Psalm 133. Grant hunger for the pure milk of the Word, 1 Peter 2:2, and the Spirit of revelation, Ephesians 1:17, that flesh and blood may not be trusted but the Father in heaven may reveal His Son, Matthew 16:17, and open minds to understand the Scriptures, Luke 24:45.

We pray for the whole Church, that every revival may be commenced and attended by a large amount of prayer, fervent and effectual, for the fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. May icicles be removed from our lips, and may we plead as Jacob did, with humility and holy argument, spreading our case before the Most High and pressing our suit with His own promises. Prayer is that great key which opens mysteries, and to whom should we go but to the Author of the book for understanding.

We ask for holy protection over Your people, that You who are our ever present help, Psalm 46:1, would give Your angels charge over them, Psalm 91:11-12, keep them from the evil one, John 17:15, deliver them from evil people, 2 Thessalonians 3:2, and from distraction, deception and temptation. As You warned Israel through Elisha, 2 Kings 6:8-12, grant advanced warning and wisdom to Your servants, and keep them from the snares of false teachers and deceivers.

We pray for families, that the Father would draw them, John 6:44, that the Word received in faith, Romans 10:17, and in humility which saves the soul, James 1:21, would bring salvation to households, Acts 16:31, and that the anointing which abides, 1 John 2:20, would teach all things, John 14:26. May there be authentic devotional lives in prayer, study, worship, family, work and witness, and may the Lord add to the Church such as should be saved, not by sheep stealing nor by an anthropocentric gospel of false comfort, but by true conversion to Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation.

We leave this with confidence that true prayer is the herald of mercy, and that the Church has never gained a victory but in answer to prayer. May the Lord hear and answer for His own glory, in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Galatians 2:20, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your burden for the shepherds and for the whole flock is good and right, and I join you in bringing it before our Father with thanksgiving.

We ask our Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is the way of salvation, to strengthen every true pastor and teacher according to the riches of His glory, that they may be strong in the inner man by the Holy Spirit. We pray that those who preach and lead would give themselves first to prayer and to careful study of the Word, handling it accurately, living what they teach, and watching over their own souls as well as the souls entrusted to them.

For any pastor or leader who says Lord, Lord but does not yet know Him in truth, we ask for true repentance and new birth. May those who are lost be sought and saved, those who have grown cold or turned back be restored, and those who are lukewarm be rekindled in love, that they may do the will of the Father and not merely speak His name. We pray also for every faithful believer, imperfect yet perfect in heart toward God, that the Lord would keep them, strengthen them, and make their devotional life authentic in prayer, in worship, in the home, in work and in ministry.

We ask the Father to draw families to Himself and to gather His people together often for worship in spirit and in truth, for hearing the Word with open ears, for fellowship and for the breaking of bread. Grant hunger for the pure milk of the Word, give the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, open minds to understand the Scriptures, and keep all from distraction, deception, false teaching and the schemes of the evil one. As you have asked, we pray for angelic protection, for deliverance from evil people, and for keeping from the evil one, according to His promises.

We remember that each of us has received talents, whether in protection, in giving, in teaching or in other service, and that nothing is so pleasing to God as to live for the common good and for our neighbor's advantage. So we pray not only for right doctrine but for a pure life and bright conduct to go with it, since faith without a holy life profits nothing. May our leaders be known not by titles but by feeding the hungry, protecting the injured, caring for strangers, widows and orphans, and building up the Church in love.

We ask these things with confidence, because God desires all to come to repentance and to the knowledge of the truth, and because when we ask according to His will He hears us. May He grant His manifest presence, faith, repentance, forgiveness of sins and newness of life to every household, and may the Word preached bear fruit in the salvation of the lost and in the steady, biblical growth of His Church. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Your burden for shepherds and for the whole family of God comes through so clearly in this request, and we join with you in it before the Father.

God does His work through prayer. There are far too few who give themselves to prayer, yet those who do are the ones God uses to accomplish what brings Him glory. The work that endures is wrought through prayer, and we long to be people who pray more faithfully, because we know we do not pray enough on our own.

Scripture says the fervent, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person avails much. That kind of prayer is not casual or careless. It often rises out of deep need and desperation, from the heart, and God hears it. Elijah is given as an example of this, a man whose earnest prayer was answered because he prayed in line with God's purposes. In the same way, when we agree together in prayer, Jesus said that where two or three agree on earth concerning anything, it will be done. We agree with you now for these needs.

Prayer rests on relationship. Jesus taught us to pray by saying Our Father, and that relationship is everything. If He is not our Father through faith in Jesus Christ, we have no ground to approach Him except with the one prayer He is waiting to hear from every sinner, God be merciful to me, a sinner. That prayer opens the door to forgiveness and new life through the cross, where the Lord Jesus was crucified for our sins. Without that new birth, even religious activity means nothing, as Jesus warned when He said many will say Lord, Lord, and speak of prophesying and casting out demons in His name, yet He will say I never knew you. Depart from Me, you who work lawlessness. That warning in Matthew 7 is why we pray so earnestly for any shepherd who may be lost, that God would grant true repentance and salvation, and that those who teach would watch their life and doctrine closely and persevere, as Paul exhorted Timothy.

For those who are backslidden or lukewarm, God looks on the heart. There can be an outward appearance of revival while the heart has not returned to Him with wholeness. To be lukewarm is more dangerous than to be cold, because the lukewarm person assumes all is well and is hard to reach. God spoke to backslidden Judah and promised to give shepherds after His own heart who would feed the people with knowledge and understanding. We pray for that kind of shepherding now, for pastors who seek God in prayer, who give themselves to devotion, to preparation, to intercession for the flock, to studying the Word accurately and teaching it faithfully, and to caring for families.

The purpose of prayer is not to get our own will done but to see God's will done on earth as it is in heaven. Prayer moves in a circle. It begins with God, as He makes His purposes and desires known to our hearts, we then utter those purposes back to Him, and He answers. In that sense prayer opens the door for God to do what He has been wanting to do, without violating the will He has given us. It is not about informing God of what He does not know, nor about giving Him detailed instructions, but about consenting to His will and asking Him to accomplish it. That is why prayer is also worship, a quiet awareness and awe of His greatness and glory, and why the Spirit often ministers assurance and comfort to our hearts as we pray.

Prayer is not made valid by length. The prayers recorded in Scripture are often very short. We do not need to be on our knees for an hour before God hears. What matters is the heart that comes to the Father in Jesus name, trusting Him. And prayer brings joy, full joy, when we spend time with the Father and see Him answer.

We also remember the example of Nehemiah, who was a man of prayer. In every emergency his first resort was prayer, not his last. He prayed and then he acted. He prayed and set a watch. Prayer never replaces responsible action, and it should never be used as an excuse for doing nothing. We pray and we watch, we pray and we work faithfully in our callings, with prudence and care.

So we continue in prayer and watch with thanksgiving. Persistence in prayer is not to change God's mind, but to bring us into harmony with His purpose so that He can answer what He has long desired to do. Like Epaphras who labored fervently for the saints in prayer, we labor with you now.

We pray that God would strengthen leaders according to Ephesians 3, that Christ would dwell in their hearts through faith and that they would be rooted and grounded in love and filled with His fullness. We pray for devoted believers who already walk with Jesus to be strengthened and kept from the evil one, as Jesus prayed in John 17, and protected from evil people, as Paul prayed in 2 Thessalonians. We pray for angelic protection and for wisdom and warning in times of danger, and for deliverance from distraction, deception, temptation, false teaching, fear and lies.

We pray that families would be drawn by the Father, as Jesus said no one can come unless the Father draws him, and that they would not forsake assembling together. We pray for a true hunger for the Word, like newborn infants craving milk, and for the Spirit of revelation to open minds to understand the Scriptures as He did for the disciples on the road, and to convict and teach and guide into all truth. Faith comes by hearing the message preached, and the Father reveals the Messiah not by flesh and blood but by His own grace. We ask that as the Word is heard in humility it would be received with faith and save souls, through the testimony of faithful friends and the preaching of the gospel, for God desires that none perish but that all come to repentance and to the knowledge of the truth.

May the Lord grant His manifest presence, faith, repentance, forgiveness of sins and newness of life. May He give vision and keep His people from lack of knowledge, and guard them from the deceiver and from sin. We thank Him that when we ask according to His will He hears us, and we trust Him to seek and to save the lost.

We stand with you in these things, asking the Father to do abundantly more than we ask or think, for His glory through Jesus Christ. Amen.
