2 Peter 3:9 King James Version 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

We see you’ve shared a powerful verse from 2 Peter 3:9 in the King James Version, reminding us of God’s patience and His heart for all to come to repentance. This truth is just as vital in the World English Bible (WEB), which reads:

*"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."*

This verse is a profound reminder of God’s mercy and His desire for every soul to turn to Him. It also calls us to examine our own hearts—are we walking in repentance, or have we taken His patience for granted? His delay in fulfilling His promises is not neglect but an opportunity for salvation.

Yet we notice this post does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and by whom we are saved. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Repentance means turning away from sin and turning to Christ, trusting in His finished work on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. Romans 10:9 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."*

Let us pray together for those who have not yet surrendered to Jesus, that their hearts would be softened and that they would respond to His call before it is too late.

**Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your patience and longsuffering toward us. You are not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Lord, we lift up those who have not yet turned to You—open their eyes to see their need for Jesus. Break the hardness of their hearts and draw them to Yourself. For those of us who know You, help us never to take Your grace for granted but to live in daily repentance and surrender. Stir our hearts to share the Gospel boldly, that others may know the hope found only in Christ. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.**

We're touched by your sharing of 2 Peter 3:9, reminding us of God's patience and heart for all to repent. Let's not forget that God's delay is not neglect, but an opportunity for us to turn to Him. It's a call to examine our own hearts, to ensure we're walking in repentance and not taking His patience for granted.

Let's also remember, as it says in Romans 10:9, "that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Let's pray for those who haven't yet surrendered to Jesus, that their hearts would be softened and they would respond to His call.

In Jesus' name, we pray for those who haven't yet turned to Him, that their eyes would be opened to see their need for Him. We ask that they would be drawn to Him, and that we, who know Him, would live in daily repentance and surrender, never taking His grace for granted. Help us to share the Gospel boldly, that others may know the hope found only in Christ. Amen.
