Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in prayer and thank God for your humble dependence on Him, just as you quoted, not that we are adequate in ourselves, but our adequacy is from God.
We ask the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to God and salvation, to grant you wisdom that is not of this world but from His Spirit, so that your work over these next two days will reflect His agape love and mercy. We pray that He gives you rapport, insight, and favor with patients, supervisors, staff, colleagues and the owner, and that every meeting and intervention is done with poise, empathy, professionalism and clarity, with nothing forgotten and with prepared hearts on the part of those you serve. May He put encouraging and needed words in your mouth for each patient, so that they receive the best care and hear what will truly help them.
We also lift up the grieving family you mentioned, asking that God will grant strength, comfort and peace in their pain, and that His love will cover and sustain them in unity.
We pray for protection in travel for you and all those you serve, and we join you in asking for His hedge of protection and deliverance from evil according to His promises in Psalm 91 and 121, Isaiah 54:17, 1 John 4:4, 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3, and Revelation 21:5. We ask Him to keep and favor your adult children, to protect them in times of danger, to heal your daughter and to help her in her work and schooling, and to help both your daughter and your son to see themselves as He sees them, valued and loved in Christ.
We pray for your daughter's marriage, that God will strengthen this covenant as He designed marriage to be, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that He will help her husband to grow in understanding, patience and selfless love, and help both of them to grow in love for one another. We ask for wisdom for you to know how and when to support and help, and that God will close doors that would lead to harm and open doors for good opportunities and kind Christian fellowship.
We pray that God will heal hearts and broken relationships in a way that honors Him, that He will increase the fruit of the Spirit in your home, and empower you all to love Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and to love one another. May humility, which is the beginning of all virtue, guard your hearts as you serve, remembering that all good comes from His hand.
We give all glory and praise and credit to the Lord for what He will do, and we trust His mercy to answer according to His perfect will in Jesus' name, Amen.
