We humbly join you before our Father in this beautiful and thorough prayer, and we agree with you that our adequacy is not from ourselves but from God, as you have quoted, Not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God 2 Corinthians 3:5. We thank God for your heart to serve and to care for people with His agape love and mercy.

We pray together for your work over these next two days. We ask the Lord to anoint every interaction with wisdom, rapport, and favor, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. May whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men Colossians 3:23, reflecting His love in poise, self-assurance, assertiveness, empathy and professionalism. We ask for successful interventions, for prepared hearts in those you serve, that nothing needed would be forgotten, and for favor with patients, supervisors, staff, colleagues and the owner. We pray that the Lord will give you the right encouraging and needed words to speak to each patient, and a special rapport that opens their hearts to receive the best help. We also lift up the grieving family you mentioned, asking our Father to grant them strength, unity, comfort and peace that surpasses understanding, and that His love would cover and overcome all in their pain.

We join you in praying for protection in all travels, claiming His promises that He will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11 and that Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more Psalm 121:8. We pray No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17, remembering that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4 and that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3.

We lift up your adult children together, asking for favor, protection in times of danger, and for doors that lead to harm to be closed and doors for good opportunities and kind Christian connections to be opened. We especially pray for your daughter, for healing, for help in her work and schooling, and that both she and your son would see themselves as God sees them, as His beloved children, fearfully and wonderfully made. We pray for your daughter's marriage, that the Lord would strengthen it and that her husband would love her as Christ loved the church Ephesians 5:25 and with understanding and patience, and that you would be given wisdom and opportunity to support and help them well. We ask God to heal hearts and broken relationships, for He who sits on the throne says, Behold, I am making all things new Revelation 21:5.

We agree with you in praying that your home would love the Lord with all heart, soul, mind and strength Matthew 22:37 and be empowered to love one another deeply, and that the fruit of the Spirit would increase among you, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control Galatians 5:22-23. We ask the Lord to deliver you all from evil and surround you with His hedge of protection and favor.

We give thanks in advance for His help and we give all glory and praise and credit to the Lord. We pray all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, Amen.

We hear how much you are carrying into these next two days, the desire to show real care to each person you meet, to have the right words and insight in the moment, and to leave nothing important undone. That longing to reflect His love while also being poised, empathetic and professional is a beautiful burden, and we are praying with you for it.

We love that you anchored your request in the truth that your adequacy is from God. When the caseload feels heavy and the meetings come quickly, that is a steady place to rest.

One small thing that may help when so much is on your mind is to pause briefly before each encounter to quietly ask the Lord for help for that one person, and to keep a small pocket list for the day so you can jot a word after each meeting. It can ease the fear of forgetting something and help you stay present with each patient and colleague. And with travel and long days, please give yourself margin for rest and water as well.

We are also lifting your grieving family, your adult children, and your daughter and son and her marriage, for protection, for wisdom to know how best to support them, and for open doors to kind, encouraging community.

Father, we bring this dear one to You and ask for Your wisdom, favor and peace over these two days of work. Give rapport with patients and unity with staff, comfort the grieving family, guard all in travel, and watch over their children. Work gently in their daughter's health, schooling and marriage, and increase Your fruit in their home. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Not that we are adequate in ourselves is a most blessed place to begin, for there lies your strength and your comfort. Our adequacy is from God, and when the heart humbly confesses this, the Lord delights to pour out wisdom and grace for the work set before you.

We join you in prayer that the Lord, who is our heavenly Physician, will make His healing power present in these next two days as you care for people. There is an abundance of healing virtue in Jesus Christ, not only in His fruit but even in His leaves, and the least thing about Christ is healing to the nations and to broken hearts. May He grant you rapport and insight, and may all your labour reflect His agape love and mercy. We ask that He will give you wisdom, favour in every meeting, and that no good thing shall be forgotten, but that each intervention may be successful and each heart prepared by His own hand. May He grant you favour with patients, supervisors, staff, colleagues and those set over you, and a special tenderness with every patient, that the best help may be given and the right and encouraging word spoken in season. May He clothe you with poise and quiet self assurance, with holy assertiveness tempered by empathy and true professionalism, for He can make the weak strong when we look to Him alone.

We pray also for the grieving family of whom you speak, that the Lord who binds up the broken hearted will bind their wounds with bands of grace. It is not human eloquence but the still small voice of God which gives the peace that passes all understanding, and we ask that His love may cover and overcome, bringing unity, comfort and peace in their pain. We ask His protecting hand over all your travels, and over your adult children, that they may be favoured and kept in times of danger, hedged about by His promises in Psalm 91 and Psalm 121, and kept from evil according to Isaiah 54 verse 17, First John 4 verse 4 and Second Thessalonians 3 verses 2 and 3, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world, and the Lord is faithful who shall establish you and keep you from evil.

For your daughter we pray that the Lord will bring healing to body and spirit, for healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction in Christ, and when the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings He makes the whole nature new. May He help her in her work and schooling, and grant to both your daughter and your son to see themselves as He sees them in Christ, forgiven, beloved and made new. We pray for her marriage, that covenant ordained by God for one man and one woman for life, that the Lord will work graciously therein, making her husband understanding and patient, and making her to be upheld in love, that both may grow in grace and in likeness to Christ. Give to you as parents wisdom to know when to speak and when to be silent, and where you may support and help to the glory of God. We ask that the Lord will close the doors that would lead to harm and open doors for good opportunities and kind Christian connections, and that He who makes all things new according to Revelation 21 verse 5 will heal hearts and broken relationships in His time and way.

We pray that He will increase in your home the fruit of the Spirit, and empower you to love Him with heart and mind and soul and strength, and to love one another as Christ has loved you. May He deliver you all from evil and surround you with His hedge of protection, and may all glory and praise and credit be given to the Lord alone, through Jesus Christ our only Saviour and hope, in whose name we pray. Amen.
