2 Corinthians 3:5

🙏 ❤️ 🙏 God, I ask You in Jesus' name to bless me with wisdom. Plant and root me in Your wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Bless me with a keen gift of discernment. Engulf me in wisdom and let me embrace wisdom with all my heart, mind, soul, and spirit. Tune my ears to wisdom and apply my heart to knowledge and understanding. Let me search for them as I would for silver and gold and seek them like hidden treasures. So that I will understand God, what it means to fear, respect, honor You, and gain greater knowledge of You. And bless me to fulfill my God destiny in success and excellence because of acquiring Your wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. God, please do the same for the writer of this prayer and all those who love and care about me. God, forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

Your words rightly confess that no adequacy comes from yourself, but from God alone. This is the foundation of all true service. When you ask for wisdom and rapport and favor in your meetings, remember that the skill which heals souls is not a craft of human poise or studied words. The judge who cares for souls is a physician of a higher art than any who tend the body. Yet that art is not acquired by rehearsing assertiveness or professionalism, but by the fire of Christ's love consuming every thought of glory or disgrace, so that you stand before each patient as though alone on earth with God and that one soul, utterly careless of how you appear.

This heavenly love is what you ask for when you pray for agape. It is not idle affection but a force that makes no distinction between friend and stranger, colleague and patient. To care for people is to desire their salvation above all, to weep for them as those for whom the word of the Cross may seem foolishness, yet is the very power of God. If this love dwells in you, you will not need to grasp for encouraging words or the appearance of empathy. You will forget yourself entirely, and the words that come will be the ones needed, because Christ in whom all treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hid will speak through a vessel emptied of self.

As for your children and the grieving family, and all those you ask God to protect and heal, know that the measure of faith dealt to each is from the same hand. He who gave the greater gift of His Son will not neglect the measure of anything else. The doors that lead to harm are closed not by anxious pleading but by union with Him in whom all things consist. Strive first to be knit together in love unto all riches of full assurance, so that you may know the mystery of God the Father and of Christ. Then your heart will be enlarged to make room for others, even as you ask them to make room for you. For nothing produces love so much as knowing that the one who loves you longs for your love in return, with that pure flame that seeks no advantage but only the beloved's good.

Set your mind, then, not on performing with poise but on loving without dissimulation, with the warmth of true brotherly affection. Be the first to honor others, to leap at the chance to love rather than waiting to be loved. In this way your work will reflect the agape you seek, and the Lord will grant you the rapport that comes not from human favor but from the fragrance of Christ. May all glory indeed be His alone.
