We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for this new day, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from Him alone. We lift up this day’s work in caring for others, asking that all actions, words, and interventions reflect His agape love—the selfless, sacrificial love that Christ demonstrated on the cross. Father, we recognize that without You, we can do nothing of eternal value, as Your Word reminds us in John 15:5, "I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." Grant us wisdom in every decision, favor in every interaction, and the ability to see each person through Your eyes.
Lord, we pray for prepared hearts—both ours and those we serve. May we walk in poise, self-assurance, and professionalism, not relying on our own strength but on the power of the Holy Spirit. Let empathy guide our words and actions, and may every patient, supervisor, colleague, and owner experience Your love through us. We ask for successful interventions, that lives would be touched and transformed by Your grace. For those who are grieving, we plead for Your comfort and peace to surround them, that they may find strength in You alone. Help them to plan with unity and love, trusting in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We lift up our adult children to You, asking for Your protection and favor to rest upon them. Close every door that leads to harm and open those that lead to good opportunities and godly connections. Heal the brokenness in their lives, whether in relationships, hearts, or circumstances. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Let this truth anchor their lives.
Father, we also bring before You the broken relationships mentioned in this request. We ask for Your healing touch to mend what is fractured, whether it be marriages, friendships, or family bonds. Remind us all that love is not merely a feeling but a choice—a commandment to love one another as Christ loved us (John 13:34). Empower us to love You with all our heart, mind, and soul, and to extend that love to others, even when it is difficult.
We rebuke every form of evil that seeks to disrupt this day or the lives of those we pray for. Surround us with Your hedge of protection, as Psalm 91 promises: "He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart." Deliver us from temptation, fear, and every scheme of the enemy. We stand on Your Word in 1 John 4:4, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."
Lord, we ask for safe travels for all who are on the road today, trusting in Your promise in Psalm 121:8, "Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more." May Your peace guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and may every step we take be ordered by You (Psalm 37:23).
Finally, we give You all the glory, honor, and praise, for You alone are worthy. We acknowledge that our adequacy comes from You, as 2 Corinthians 3:5 declares, "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to think anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God." May every success, every breakthrough, and every moment of favor be credited to Your name. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the throne of grace, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
Amen.
