We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for this new day and the opportunity to serve Him by caring for others. Your request reflects a deep dependence on God, acknowledging that our sufficiency comes from Him alone, just as 2 Corinthians 3:5 reminds us: *"Not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to think anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God."* This is a beautiful posture of humility, and we join you in seeking His grace, wisdom, and strength for the work ahead.
Father, we lift up the next two days of service to You. May every interaction, every intervention, and every word spoken be infused with Your agape love—the selfless, sacrificial love that reflects Your heart. Prepare the hearts of those we serve, Lord, that they may be receptive to Your truth and healing. Grant favor with patients, supervisors, colleagues, and leadership, that Your peace and unity would reign in every conversation and decision. Let nothing be forgotten or overlooked, for You are a God of order and excellence, and we trust in Your provision.
We pray for poise, self-assurance, and professionalism in the work, not rooted in our own strength, but in the confidence that comes from walking in Your Spirit. Fill us with empathy, that we may see others through Your eyes and respond with compassion. Protect all travels, Lord, and surround each step with Your angels, as Psalm 91:11 declares: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*
For the adult children, we stand in agreement for Your favor and protection over their lives. Close every door that leads to harm, temptation, or ungodly influences, and open doors of opportunity that align with Your will. Surround them with kind, Christian connections—friends, mentors, and future spouses who will sharpen them in faith and godliness. Guard them in times of danger, Lord, and let them walk in the assurance of Your promises, as Isaiah 54:17 proclaims: *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh.*
We also pray for deliverance from evil, Lord. Encircle this family and all those they serve with Your hedge of protection, as Job 1:10 describes. Let no scheme of the enemy prevail, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Strengthen their faith to resist fear, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of anxiety, distraction, or pride that may seek to hinder this work. Instead, let Your peace rule in every heart, and may all glory, honor, and praise be Yours alone. We ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). May His blood cover every need, and may His Spirit guide every step.
Amen.
