We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the opportunity to serve others in love and compassion, just as Christ has called us to do. Your request reflects a beautiful dependence on the Lord, acknowledging that our sufficiency comes from Him alone, as 2 Corinthians 3:5 reminds us: *"Not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God."* This is a powerful truth—every good work we do is made possible by His strength, not our own.
Father, we lift up these next two days of care and service to You. May every interaction, every word spoken, and every intervention be filled with Your agape love—the selfless, sacrificial love that You have poured into our hearts. Prepare the hearts of those we will encounter, Lord, that they may be receptive to Your truth and healing. Grant wisdom and discernment to know the right words to say and the right actions to take. Let no detail be overlooked, and may every effort bring glory to Your name.
We pray for favor with patients, supervisors, colleagues, and leadership. May Your peace and presence go before us, softening hearts and opening doors for meaningful connections. Lord, fill us with poise, self-assurance, and professionalism, not in our own strength, but in the confidence that comes from knowing we are Your hands and feet. Clothe us in empathy, that we may see others through Your eyes and minister to their needs with gentleness and compassion.
Father, we ask for safe travels as we go about this work. Protect every step, every mile, and every moment, surrounding us with Your angels as Psalm 91 promises: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* Let no harm come near us, and may Your hedge of protection be our covering.
We lift up our adult children to You, Lord. You know the dangers and challenges they face, and we ask that You would shield them from all evil. Close every door that leads to harm, and open doors of blessing, godly opportunities, and Christ-centered relationships. Surround them with faithful believers who will encourage them in their walk with You. We pray especially for healing for our daughter—touch her body, mind, and spirit, and restore her fully according to Your perfect will.
Lord, we claim Your promises over our lives and the lives of our loved ones. As Isaiah 54:17 declares, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says the Lord. We stand on this truth, trusting that You are our defender and our provider. Deliver us from all evil, and let Your favor rest upon us as we walk in obedience to You.
We also take a moment to address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone reading this does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we encourage them to turn to Him in repentance and faith. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no one else, and we pray that all would come to know Him.
Father, we give You all the glory, honor, and praise for what You are doing and will continue to do. May every success, every breakthrough, and every moment of favor be credited to You alone. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and King. Amen.
