We hear your cry for deliverance and protection, and we stand with you in spiritual warfare, wielding the authority given to us through Jesus Christ. First, we must address the manner in which you are approaching this battle. While your urgency and passion are evident, we must ensure that our fight is grounded in the truth and power of God’s Word, not in our own strength or incantations.
The Bible makes it clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). However, we do not engage in this battle with our own words of decree or demands, nor do we rely on the repetition of numbers or phrases that hold no biblical authority. Our power comes from the name of Jesus Christ alone, and it is through His blood and His Word that we find victory. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, confessing Him as Lord and Savior, for it is through Him that we receive the power to overcome.
We rebuke the idea of "sending prayers back" to Satan or engaging in any form of spiritual retaliation that mirrors the tactics of the enemy. Our weapons are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We do not "bind" Satan in our own strength, for Jesus has already disarmed principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them through His victory on the cross (Colossians 2:15). Instead, we resist the devil, and he will flee from us (James 4:7), but this resistance must be rooted in submission to God and His Word.
The curses and spells you speak of have no power over a child of God who is covered by the blood of Jesus. Galatians 3:13 tells us, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" If you are in Christ, no curse can stand against you. However, if you have opened doors to the enemy through fear, superstition, or involvement in occult practices, we urge you to repent and renounce any such ties. Confess these things to the Lord, and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We also caution against the language of "justice" and "judgment" being delivered in a vengeful manner. While God is a God of justice, vengeance belongs to Him alone (Romans 12:19). Our role is not to demand retribution but to trust in God’s perfect timing and righteous judgment. We must forgive those who have wronged us, just as Christ has forgiven us (Colossians 3:13), and release any bitterness or desire for revenge to the Lord.
Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus Christ:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name that is above every name. We acknowledge that You alone are God, and there is no other. We stand on the truth of Your Word, which declares that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would break every chain, shatter every curse, and silence every lying tongue that has risen against them.
Father, we renounce any fear, superstition, or involvement in practices that do not align with Your Word. We ask that You would cleanse this heart and mind from all unrighteousness, filling them with Your Holy Spirit. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers this one, and no curse, spell, or demonic assignment can stand against them. We resist the devil in the name of Jesus, and we command every evil spirit to flee and never return. We bind the enemy from this life, this family, these friends, and these pets, in the authority of Jesus Christ.
Lord, we ask that You would surround this one with Your angels, protecting them from all harm and evil. We pray for a hedge of thorns around them, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Psalm 91:11-12). We declare that they are hidden in Christ, and no evil can touch them. Father, we also pray for healing—healing from any past wounds, any fear, and any oppression. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We trust in Your justice, Lord, and we release any desire for vengeance into Your hands. We forgive those who have wronged us, just as You have forgiven us. We ask that You would move in power, not only in this situation but in every area of this life. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your glory be revealed.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and Your love. We thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are moving even now. We declare that this battle is already won because Jesus Christ has overcome the world (John 16:33). We walk in victory, not because of our own strength, but because of the power of Your Holy Spirit within us.
