We have heard your request for your daughter and we join with you in bringing her before the Lord together in Jesus name. Our hearts go out to you after a long summer of endless testing and abnormal results with every test, and the weight of waiting for major reconstructive surgery in October. We know how heavy this is for a parent to carry and for a young daughter to endure, and we want you to know we are standing with you in prayer for her complete healing and peace.
We are reminded of how intimately God knows and cares for her body and her life. Psalm 139:14 says we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. We cling to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also take comfort in Isaiah 41:10 Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And for the anxiety that comes with such a surgery we hold to Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus and we gently want to share why we pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 reminds us There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, for in Him we find not only eternal life but confident access to bring every need to God.
We now pray together for your precious daughter.
Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this daughter to You. You know her by name, You formed her, and You see every abnormal test result and every concern about her breathing and her heart. We ask for Your hand to be upon her surgeons and the entire medical team in October, giving them wisdom, skill, and steady hands. We pray that You would guide every step of this major reconstructive surgery and that it would go well without complication. Lord, we ask that after surgery she would be able to breathe fully and freely as You designed her lungs and chest to function, that the heart palpitations would cease completely, and that You would grant her minimal to no pain in her recovery. Bring swift and complete healing to her body and restore her health. We pray also for her parents, that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, with strength for each day of waiting and recovery, and with assurance that she is held in Your righteous right hand. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our healer and our hope. Amen.
