My daughter was born 11-30-10 at just 24 weeks weighing only 13 oz. at UNC. She is one of the smallest babies born there in a long time. My husband and I also lost a daughter in april 2010 stillborn at just 22 weeks. We want to see if you would be interested in our story. I also have a 9 year old daugter. Its a daily struggle to get to UNC from raleigh every single day to bring her breast milk. To watch my daughter go through so much is taking a toll on my health. I cant work and struggle to pay bills and devestaed that I might not be able to provide my 9 year old with a christmas. We are trying so hard but by the looks of things she might not get a christmas at all due to finanical problems. I'm also want to bring awareness to the public about my daughter who is in the NICU and ask for many prayers that she will survive. She is a fighter but one of the smallest baby's UNC has seen in a long time. She had a set back tonight where she has a hole in her bowel and needed a drain tube to release air build up. I pray that people can get aware of what it is like to live day to day with a preemie and try to hold your family together with very few resourses and help. Any help from you would be wounderful. Again my name is Kendra Simmons I would love to share pictures of my daughter Arianna in the NICU as well as my 9 year old Alisia. We are hopeing for a mirical to provide her with a christmas that seems like might not happen because I'm not working and far behind on many bills.
