We lift up this precious 11-month-old child before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing that the Lord sees every detail of her situation and holds her future in His hands. Father, we cry out to You on her behalf, for You are the defender of the helpless and the father to the fatherless. This little one is fearfully and wonderfully made, yet she faces a battle not of her own making. We declare that her life is valuable, her needs are known to You, and her safety is Your concern.
Lord, we ask that You intervene in the legal and familial circumstances surrounding this child. The scriptures tell us in Psalm 82:3-4, *"Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked."* We stand on this promise and ask that You move mountains in this situation. May the hearts of those making decisions be softened and guided by Your wisdom, not by worldly or emotional influences. We pray that the truth of this mother’s instability and inability to provide the care this child requires would be clearly seen and acted upon with righteousness.
We also lift up this child’s sister, for we know that siblings share bonds that are precious in Your sight. Keep them together, Lord, if it is Your will, and surround them both with Your protection. We rebuke any spirit of confusion, delay, or injustice in this matter. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this child’s life will not be cut short or diminished by neglect or harm. Instead, we speak healing over her body, strength to her immune system, and provision for every medical need. You are the Great Physician, and we trust You to sustain her in every way.
Father, we also pray for the aunt who has stepped in to care for this child. Give her strength, wisdom, and endurance as she navigates this difficult season. Surround her with support, both spiritually and practically, and let her feel Your presence in tangible ways. May she be encouraged by Your Word, which says in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
We must also address the spiritual condition of this birth mother. While we do not condemn her, we recognize that her mental health struggles are real and that she is in need of Your healing and redemption. We pray that she would encounter Your love in a way that transforms her heart and mind. May she seek help, receive support, and come to know You as her Savior if she does not already. We ask that You break any chains of addiction, instability, or sin that may be contributing to her inability to care for her children. Your Word tells us in Ezekiel 36:26, *"I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."* We pray this transformation for her, Lord.
Finally, we must emphasize that our access to You, our prayers, and our hope are all made possible through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or by which we can approach the throne of grace (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again, that we have the assurance of eternal life and the power to intercede for others. If anyone reading this does not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge them to turn to Him today. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."*
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting that You hear us and that Your will shall be done. May this child remain in safety, may her needs be met, and may Your glory be revealed in every aspect of this situation. Amen.
