We are blessed that you have brought 1 Peter 5:7 before us, for it holds such precious comfort for our hearts, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
We love this verse because it reminds us that we are not meant to carry our burdens alone. Our Father sees every anxiety, every heavy thought, and every fear that weighs us down, and He invites us to throw them upon Him. This is not a distant God who is indifferent, but a caring Father who watches over us with tender love.
We are encouraged also by what Scripture says alongside this promise, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 And again, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22 And Jesus Himself calls to us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
We want to gently remind you that this access to the Father, this ability to cast our cares upon Him, is only through Jesus Christ. We notice your request did not mention His name, and we desire that you know there is no other way to come to God except through Him. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 It is by placing our faith in Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we can boldly bring our worries to the throne of grace.
We encourage you to take time each day to bring your cares to Him in prayer, not holding anything back, thanking Him even in the midst of trial, and trusting that His care for you is deeper than any trouble you face.

The word you have laid upon our hearts is one of the sweetest in all the Scripture, Casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you.
What a mercy that the apostle does not say casting some of your care, or casting your great cares, but all your care. Your temporal affairs, your hourly troubles, your daily bread, your hidden anxieties that fret and worry the soul, all are to be cast upon Him. Do not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry and distress. Be prudent and do the right thing, and then be no longer anxious about it, but leave the result with God.
He is not only the God of the hills of your higher spiritual interests, but the God of the valleys of your common cares. He who numbers the hairs of your head and paints every flower that blooms will not overlook the burden that now presses upon you. Worldly men live at a distance from Him, but the true believer has communion with God wherever he goes, and may declare his ways unto Him in secret and know that He heareth.
Now is the time to exercise faith upon a living God. Your God is not worth having if He cannot help you when you want help. Come, cast your burden on your God. Cry unto God most high, unto God that performeth all things for you. He shall send forth His mercy and His truth, and plead the causes of your soul and redeem your life.
Do you believe that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. You say that you do. Then prove it by prayer. If you think God has seemed distant, do not give up prayer, but pray more earnestly than ever, and say still, My God, my God, for He is ever God to you. He careth for you, not with a cold providence, but with a Father's tender care, for you are His child and He delights to see your face and hear your voice.
May the Lord teach you His statutes in this trial and give you to find rest, not in the removal of the burden at once, but in the hands that bear it for you. We will entreat the Lord with you that you may be kept from fretting care and may know the peace of one who has left all with Him who careth for him.

Your sharing of 1 Peter 5:7 has been received with thankfulness, for it is a word of great comfort. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
This promise is given to those who humble themselves under the mighty hand of God, and it teaches us where our confidence must rest. We trust not in our own strength, but in His lovingkindness, and we learn to make everything depend upon Him. At the same time we are called to watch and labor ourselves, persevering in faith until our latest breath, while casting every care upon Him who is able to keep us.
Therefore I encourage you to practice this casting of care through continual remembrance of God. Remember Him not only in the busy hours of the day when cares crowd in, but especially in quiet moments, upon your bed and in the morning watch, when the soul is calm. Such remembrance drives out anxious thoughts and keeps the heart in His peace. Join this remembrance with sincere prayer, for nothing is mightier than a person who prays sincerely. Prayer with a wakeful and humble soul lifts you above earthly troubles and brings you near to God who propitiates and sustains you.
We pray for you now that the Lord who cares for you deeply will teach you to place every burden, every fear and every need into His hands. May He quiet your heart, strengthen your faith, grant you lightness of soul and confidence in His care, and help you to walk each day trusting His goodness and doing what is pleasing to Him.

That verse you shared is one of the most tender promises in Scripture, and it is good that you have held onto it. Casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.
Life is full of cares and pressures. The only ones who seem free from them are very small children who do not yet understand what life holds. For everyone else, there are daily burdens, worries about provision, health, family, and the future. The Lord does not tell you to carry those alone or to pretend they are not there. He invites you to place them fully upon Him.
You can do this because He truly cares for you. This is one of the greatest truths the Bible teaches. He knows you completely and personally. Jesus said your Father even knows the number of hairs on your head. Nothing about your situation is hidden from Him or too small for His attention. When you bring your cares to Him, you are not bothering Him. You are responding to His own invitation.
Worry itself has no value. It does not add anything to your life or solve anything. Jesus pointed to the lilies of the field to show how the Father clothes and cares for what He has made, and how much more He will care for His children. He taught that your heavenly Father knows what you need, and that if you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, He will take care of all the rest. Putting God first does not mean your problems disappear, but it puts them in proper perspective. When your eyes are on Him and His greatness, your problems no longer seem larger than God.
That relationship with Him rests on what He has done for you through Jesus Christ. Righteousness before God does not come by your own effort, but is given to you as a gift when you put your faith in the finished work of Jesus. Because you belong to Him by faith, you can come to Him as a child to a Father, with confidence that He hears and will act according to what is right. He is just and righteous in all His ways, and you can trust His judgments and His care.
So do not only remember this verse, but practice it. Whenever you do not know what to do, or when anxiety rises, consciously lay that burden at His feet in prayer. Tell Him honestly what weighs on you and leave it there with Him. At the same time, stand firm in faith and resist the enemy, who would like to keep you burdened and fearful. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Grow in a holy awe of who He is, not a fear that He is waiting to harm you, but a reverent love that does not want to grieve Him, and a confidence in how great and able He is. He is far bigger than any need you face, and He is not lacking in resources to help you.
May the Lord lift this weight from you today as you cast it upon Him, and may He fill your heart with His peace as you seek Him first, trusting that He who cares for you will faithfully care for all that concerns you.
