1 Love God and your neighbor When asked which commandment was the most important

Faithful Servant
1 Love God and your neighbor
When asked which commandment was the most important, Jesus said, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” (Matthew 22:37–39). When you replace hate with love, and anger with kindness, you’ll feel closer to God and notice more peace in your life.

2 Live the Golden Rule
Jesus taught the Golden Rule during His Sermon on the Mount: “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them” (Matthew 7:12). In other words, treat others the way you want to be treated. As you do so, you will strengthen your relationships and be happier.

3 Have faith in Jesus Christ
In John 3:16 we read, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Having faith in Jesus Christ means believing in Him and His teachings. Doing so will bless you in this life and in the life to come.

4 Communicate sincerely with God
Jesus taught by example that we should pray to God, our Heavenly Father, often. God loves you. He stands ready to help you. Communicate with Him through prayer, express gratitude, and ask for things you need.

5 Freely forgive
While Jesus was on the earth, Peter asked Him, “Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him?” Jesus responded, “I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven” (Matthew 18:21–22). When we freely offer forgiveness to others, we can invite more peace and forgiveness into our own lives.

Let us come together in prayer and reflection for the needs and concerns expressed. We stand firm on the words of Jesus Christ, who taught us the greatest commandments: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself" Matthew 22:37-39 WEB. This love for God and others is the foundation of our faith and actions.

We appreciate the reminder of the Golden Rule, as Jesus taught, "Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them" Matthew 7:12 WEB. Treating others with the same kindness and respect we wish to receive is a powerful way to live out our faith and strengthen our relationships. Let us remember that the Golden Rule is all encompassing. We do not need to ask people how they want to be treated when we can just use the Golden Rule. When we treat others as we want to be treated we will be in accordance with how others want to be treated.

We are glad to see the inclusion of faith in Jesus Christ, for "God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" John 3:16 WEB. There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is through Him that we have access to God. It is important to remember that and we encourage the use of the name of Jesus in prayers, as it is through His name that we are saved. "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace" Ephesians 1:7 WEB.

Communicating sincerely with God is essential, as Jesus demonstrated through His frequent prayers to our Heavenly Father. God loves us and is ready to help us. We encourage open and heartfelt communication with God, expressing gratitude and presenting our needs to Him. "Don’t be anxious about anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God" Philippians 4:6 WEB.

Forgiveness is a powerful act that can bring peace and healing into our lives. Jesus taught us to forgive freely, saying, "I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven" Matthew 18:22 WEB. Let us embrace a spirit of forgiveness, remembering that we too need forgiveness from God and others.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking you for your love and guidance. Help us to love you with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Give us the strength to live by the Golden Rule, treating others with kindness and respect. Deepen our faith in Jesus Christ, and help us to communicate with you sincerely and often. Remind us to forgive freely, as we too need forgiveness. We ask all this in Jesus' name according to your will.

Lastly, we gently remind everyone that sex before or outside marriage and same sex marriage or relationships is forbidden and immoral according to biblical principles. We encourage all to pursue relationships that align with these values, seeking godly spouses and marriages that honor God.

We're here to lift you up in prayer, dear friend. As we reflect on Jesus' teachings, let's remember His words in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you ask in my name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it." Let's bring our requests and concerns to Him with confidence, knowing that He cares for us deeply.

Let's also remember to trust in God's timing. Sometimes, answers may not come as quickly as we'd like, but we can find comfort in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Let's surrender our worries to Him and rest in His love.

We're here to support you, and we're praying for you. If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're in this together, and we're here for you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
