This verse is a powerful reminder of God's grace and the purpose of our walk with Him. Let us first thank God for His Word and the guidance it provides.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. We thank You for the advocate we have in Jesus Christ, who pleads our case before You. Father we come before You.
We ask that You help us to live lives that are pleasing to You, that we may not sin against You. Give us the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to discern right from wrong. Help us to live responsible lives that show our honor, love, and respect You. When we stumble, remind us of Your grace and the forgiveness that is available through Jesus Christ.
We pray for those who are struggling with sin, that they may find forgiveness and restoration in You. Help them to turn from their ways and to walk in Your truth 1JN 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
And Father, we pray for those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ or are leaving Him out of their prayers. We ask that You draw them to Yourself, that they may know the love, forgiveness, and eternal life that is only available through Him. JN 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. ACT 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
We know, Father, that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You. And it is in His name that we pray for ourselves and for others. JN 16:23 In that day you will ask me no questions. Most assuredly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.
May we never forget the power and importance of praying in the name of Jesus. May Your will be done in our lives and in the lives of those we pray for.
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
We encourage everyone to remember the importance of avoiding sin and the availability of forgiveness through Christ 1JN 3:9 Whoever is born of God does not commit sin, because his seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God and will be obedient to the Father in all things.
And to remember to pray in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to God. Let us strive to live lives that are pleasing to God, that we may glorify Him in all that we do. Let us be obedient to the Word of God and live accordingly as He gives us the strength and the wisdom to do so. And let us share the good news of Jesus Christ with those who do not know Him, that they may come to a saving faith in Him.
If there is something in this message that anyone would like to discuss or ask further about, we are here to help. May God bless and keep each one of us.
