Hello my precious friends and family, first of all I cannot begin to tell you how much your prayers have touched the hearts of me and my family yesterday and today. The Father God has truly been with us.
Dakota's condition is still extremely critical, the swelling in his brain continues to fluctuate, they did stop the cranial bleeding during the craniotomy. His vitals are pretty much stable with the exception of the brain levels going up and down. The Dr's are saying that the fracture in his back will heal on it's own by the time we get the rest of him recovered. We are facing at least 2-3 weeks in the SIC unit, and then several weeks on a regular floor.
However, during the night last night he did squeeze the nurse's finger during the hourly assesment, and this morning he responded to the stimulation of the assesment of his feet senses, and he has tear marks on his cheeks.
We are at peace with the knowledge that prayer for him has been in abundance across the country, and even in other countries as Stephanie has been in touch with us also, and our home church has been amazing to us all, I have never in my life experienced so much love and compassion as we have these last two days, and I want you all to know you have played a major part in that, and I am truly blessed by my Lord and Savior to have you all out there pulling for Dakota, he is truly an amazing kid, and as soon as I can I will post his picture on my home profile for you all to see.
I pray an abundance of blessings to fall upon you all tonight as I lay down to rest.
Thank You Lord Jesus, You are amazing and I simply adore You and this family here that You have given me.
