material comfort vs. moral issues

I can't "see" the fallen nature coming through in some people's actions. Plain as day. And why are its very obvious, and I'm seeing this quite often, is in misguided priorities. It manifests itself in politics a lot. Like a candidate speaks of promoting unBiblical principles, like gay marriage...
