choosing myself

I missed opportunities because I was busy surviving instead of dreaming. I did what I had to do, not what I wanted to do. Looking back, that truth stings, but it also lit a fire in me. It reminded me that it's not too late to choose myself and take the chance I once denied.

I need to let go of overexplaining my boundaries to people who benefited from me having none. I don't owe long explanations for choosing myself. A clear no is more than enough now.
