cat's hoarse voice

One of my cats sometimes sounds very hoarse when he talks. He is very vocal and yells a lot especially when I'm not in the same room (I believe he has separation anxiety but there is also spiritual warfare sometimes involved) so he may be stretching his voice. But I don't think he has ever had...
