God’s War on Poverty and Riches

Calling attention to the unequal distribution of wealth in this fallen world, McGee observes that both poverty and riches are a curse to men. He exhorts the poor to avoid the pitfalls of sloth and laziness and to value hard work. He exhorts the wealthy to avoid the pitfalls of forming snobbish cliques in church, prideful attitudes, and indifference to the poor. He ends with reminding us from the book of Job, that God is thinking of the poor in their affliction and therefore so must we.
