John Vernon McGee, Th.D., LL.D, was an American ordained Presbyterian minister, the pastor of a non-denominational church, a Bible teacher, theologian, and a radio minister. He began broadcasting the Thru the Bible Radio Network program. In a systematic study of each book of the Bible, McGee took his listeners from Genesis to Revelation.

Chuck Smith was an American pastor who founded the Calvary Chapel churches. He has been called "one of the most influential figures in modern American Christianity."

Spurgeon produced powerful sermons of penetrating thought and precise exposition. His oratory skills held his listeners spellbound and many Christians hold his writings in exceptionally high regard among devotional literature.
