Marriage

A daily reminder that God cares and that we care about your marriage.

Are You Thankful for Sex?

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. Those of you outside the United States don’t celebrate this day as we Americans do, but expressing one’s gratefulness for the blessings of life is always a good idea.

Gratitude Beyond the Table

This Thursday, many families will thank God for food, family, friends, jobs, possessions, football games, and more. While you’re at...

Marriage Prayer: Rejoice In Marriage

Dear Lord,

Thank you for our precious relationship with each other. Thank you for all that we have experienced together. We pray that as we grow together and continue to experience things, we would rejoice more. We want joyful hearts, thankful hearts, and hearts that appreciate all that we are given. We pray that we would be aware of the small things just as much as the big things and that we would rejoice over them. We pray we would celebrate our victories together.

In Jesus’ name, Amen...

Dear Lord,

Thank you for giving us such a great example in Jesus for how to love others. This is how we love like Christ, by dying daily to our flesh and desires and to put each other first. Marriage Prayer: Patience

Dear Lord,

Help us to be more patient. There are many things in life that get to us that shouldn’t, but we let them. Please change this part of our character. Help us to be patient with people and help us to love the way You do. Help us to be more patient with our children so that they can learn from our actions about how to be patient. Help us to be patient with each other because we love one another.

Marriage Prayer: Be Slow To Anger

Dear Lord,

Thank you that Your mercies are renewed for us every morning. We definitely need it. Lord, we pray for our hearts and others who are quick to become angry. Sometimes we get irritated, annoyed, or frustrated so easily and then we let out our anger. Instead, we should slow down and allow Your Holy Spirit to calm us and speak to us. We want to be men and women that have control over our temper and thoughts so that we can love each other better. Give us Your understanding Lord.

Marriage Prayer: Guard Our Mouths

Lord,

Thank you for the grace You have for us. Please forgive us for the words we speak to each other and the way we talk to one another. There are times that we do not guard what comes out of our mouths and instead, say whatever we want. This is not how You desire us to be. You desire us to be constrained and self-controlled so that we would not say something that would be hurtful or dishonoring. We need to learn to be more restrained in our words. Please Help us do this Lord.
