Marriage

Dear Lord,

Thank you for constantly transforming our minds to be turned towards You always. Lord, we pray to always be striving to become men and women of integrity. We pray that we would be the same person in private that we are in public. We want our integrity to be a blessing to our children and their children after. We want to leave a legacy of uprightness for our family.

Thank you for the gift of marriage, even though sometimes we neglect to see it as a gift… it truly is. Thank you for using our marriage to reveal to us areas in our lives that need change and parts of our character that need transformation. We are so sorry that we sometimes fight. We have different perspectives that leave us needing to feel validated. We pray that You would help us to fine tune our apologies, to be more humble and sincere. Our kids are so smart. It doesn’t matter how old they are, they pick up on everything. They can smell hypocrisy from a mile away. Lord, we pray that we would lead, love, and discipline our kids in holiness. We pray that we would not merely teach them with our words, but would show them with our actions what it means to love and obey You.
