We pray we would cheer each other on in our work, in our responsibilities at home, in parenting, and in every goal we aim to accomplish. When we face roadblocks, churn with mental hang-ups, or find ourselves in seemingly impossible situations, please show us how to walk side by side, believing in faith that things will work for our good. Way back in 2013, I contributed a guest post to Jolene Engle’s 31 Days to a Better Marriage series. I re-read the post, tweaked it just a bit, and wanted to share it with y’all. So here it is, on a subject near and dear to my heart: wives who desire and enjoy sex in marriage and what that says about them.

Dear Lord,

As we make ourselves known to You, will You encourage us to make ourselves known to one another? To be fully known and truly loved is an immeasurable gift, and we long to experience this in our marriage. Please help us to pursue each other in love. May our marriage look unmistakably like You designed it to look so that when outsiders look at us they see sacrificial love and submission. Lord, please lead us to love more every day.
