When I see the stars in heaven, when I hear the rolling thunder, Thy power in the whole universe. I shall bow down before Your holy throne and bless your holy name. How great You are o Lord. My soul rejoices in You alone. You have created all these things for Your own glory and honor. So, let us all glorify the name of the Lord day and night. Jesus delights in the praises of His people. I will praise the name of God with song. And magnify Him with thanksgiving. Psalm 69.30
At midnight Paul and Silas prayed before God and started singing praises to Jesus. Then earhquake came along and free both of them. Glorious songs of praise to God shall move mountains. Peoples lives will be changed and the glory of the Lord shall shine over all of us. Sing unto the Lord a new song. Sing praise to Him forever. Amen
The following is from a 37-day devotional by Pastor Rick Warren called "The Invisible War". Shield Of Faith: Protection Money Can’t Buy As a follower of Jesus, you have fiery darts coming at you all the time. So what kind of fiery darts are coming your way? Satan implants the following thoughts into your mind: • Doubt. You start asking yourself, “Did God really say? Can I really trust God? Isn’t that just your interpretation?” • Discouragement. Satan tells you, “You’re never going to get any better. Your life won’t change. Don’t even try.” • Delay. You ask yourself, “Why is this taking so long?” Something you want to happen hasn’t happened by now. • Difficulty. You ask yourself, “Why is this so hard...
Dear Lord. Hear my prayer. I submit my mind, my eyes, my mouth to glorify, honor and praise Your holy name. You have made us for Yourself. Open our ears to hear Your voice. I submit my hands, my feet and everything I have. It is all Yours. As a sweet sacrifice to honor Thy name now and forever more. Amen
How to Pass the Period of Testing As followers of Christ, there will be times of "heaven on earth" where everything is going smoothly. But then will come the period where everything is not as smooth. How do we pass this period of testing? I believe the main key is two simple words " be humble." To be humble means to remove all pride, ego, and selfish desires. It means to put others first, to ask with right motives, and especially to wait patiently, for god to move on our behalf. I would like to give part of my testimony. I am a 38 year-old college student. I have not been able to graduate from college, ever since I started going to college in 1997. The Lord, has been dealing with me to "be humble." I never forget...
The Lord is coming soon. In majesty and great glory shall we see Him. Every eyes shall see this wonderful event. In the beauty all resplendent with the glory of transcendent shall He appear. His eternal promise for all of us is this. I am coming soon and my reward is with Me. Thou art coming o Lord. We are waiting in prayer and doing the work You have told us to do. Be my witnesses to the ends of the earth. This is the hope that cannot fail. We are not asking the day or the hour. No one knows but the Father which is in heaven. We are resting on Thy word eternal. Anchored safe withing the promise. I am coming soon.
There are many goals people may have for vacations: time to forget about work, time to dial down and relax, time to reunite with family and friends, time to get back in shape, sun & fun, et cetera... It may even be to complete a holy work like go plant a church or provide medical assistance to a third world country... All these are fine and good, but as it's often been said, "The Good is the enemy of The Best." We remember when Martha tried to tattle-tale on Mary to Jesus for not doing her part -- Jesus in turn rebuked Martha! But why? Because "Mary has chosen THE BEST PART" and He promised "it shall not be taken away from her" (Luke 10:42) DRB, other versions "the choice part, the better part, the better portion, the better...
The Call to Prayer is issued by GOD in 1 Timothy 2:1-3 -- "First of all, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." We should note The Holy Spirit admonishes, FIRST of ALL -- this is very different from "not at all" or "hardly ever..." We should start from the tops of our nations, here in the States, for The President, down through the House, Senate, Legislation, Supreme Court and on to all Federal Officials...
"When you read 1Corinthians 2:6-16 you learn that, left to ourselves you cannot understand God’s truth, God’s ‘secret wisdom’. That is, you cannot understand God’s age-long mystery: the truth about Jesus Christ and the salvation God grants to us through Christ’s crucifixion. Left to ourselves, you would not even think of the truth of the Gospel, it is so grand and so glorious that it wouldn’t even enter our heads as a possibility. ‘But,’ says Paul, ‘God has revealed it to us by his Spirit’ [1Corinthians 2:10]. Paul teaches us, •God has revealed this to us ‘by his Spirit’. •We have ‘received … the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us’ [1Corinthians 2:12]. •We are ‘taught by the Spirit’ [verse...
