Addiction. A lot of people struggle with it. Some know others who have struggled with it or are still struggling with it. Drugs, alcohol, sex, or money. Any addiction. People who haven’t struggled with it themselves, personally, tend to criticize the ones who have an addiction. Most, and I say most, not all, but most of these people that do criticize the addicts, are Christians. What is this world coming to today? I’ve heard people say, “Oh they can stop drinking if they wanted to,” or “they can stop buying the drugs if they wanted to.” No. It’s an addiction, not a hobby. People who have never done drugs, or been an alcoholic, or had any ‘bad’ addiction of the sort, they don’t understand. Addicts ‘have’ to have whatever it is they are...
We just cannot begin to tell you how much Jesus love us and cares for us. I just can not believe how God has sent His only Son to save us from all our sins. God is with us. Blessed Redeemer, living Word. Forgive me o Lord when I stop and stare at wordly affairs of this world. Nothing shall we take to heaven. Everything we own belongs to God. He has given us and we shall give it back to Him. Jesus, name above all names, help us to wait on You and trust Your word daily. Opening our eyes to see the glorious promise coming to us. I am preparing for you a mansion in heaven. That where I am, there you may be also.
Jesus delights in the praises of His people. Then cold comes along, praise and honor God. Seasons come and seasons go. He made it all for us. I glorify Your holy name o Lord. All over the earth people shall rise and open their mouths and ears to hear the glorious praises of God. For we know that God is merciful and kind to all of us. He has blessed us. He has healed us. He is with us all the time. May gladness fill your heart today as you magnify the Lord. May you remind yourself why you were forgiven and brought to a place of joy and peace in Him alone. I sing praise to Your name o Lord. For Your name is great and greatly to be praised. So, wherever you are today. Raise your voice and glorify the Lord...
Jesus preferred Judas than Peter. Have you ever asked yourself why? Peter was an obstacle towards the main purpose for the life of Jesus. When the enemy came, Peter wanted to fight against the enemy. Seemingly Peter did not understand the importance of the enemy to Jesus for the accomplishment of the mission for Jesus on earth. Jesus knew that Judas was the one who will help Him reach his destiny. Judas was a key element to Jesus. Sometimes people we meet in our daily lives are our rough road towards our destiny. There is a specific reason for each person you meet or ever met in your life. It doesn't matter how long you have known each other or how often you have met, whether once , twice or many times, for few hours , days, weeks...
We all know about the grass is greener on the other side attitude.Well.I notice some site members who have situations where they might want some of what I have, but I for my part might want some of what they have.Like, Caldoug says he's bored and lonely.I have the opposite problem, Instead of loneliness, too many people to deal with. And the opposite of boredom, too many things going on. Sooo..why can't he get my full schedule{no boredom},and what some call loneliness, I call a break from people. This way we both get what we want.Lenore talks of reinstating her friend back in her life.I'm looking to get some people OUT OF my life, too many and some are annoying. So could He let me lose my excess,in exchange for her gaining him?In other...
When you worship the Lord in spirit and in truth, the holy presence of God shall shine over you. He said. Go ye therefore unto all nations and preach the gospel. O tell of His might and sing of His grace. Whose robe is the light Start with your own next door neighbors. Invite them to church. Pray for them. Ask Jesus to save their souls. Blessing shall come to your life and Jesus shall be glorified in your home.
There’s so much hate and rudeness in the world today, it’s nice when we meet a kind hearted person. But being kind hearted can not only be a strength, but a weakness. It gives people a chance to see that even though there is a lot of hate in the world, some people are strong enough to be kind, loving, caring, forgiving; regardless of what they’ve been through. But it also gives people the chance to take advantage of that person. Using them, betraying them, lying to them, they don’t care because they know that person will remain kind hearted. That person, like me, has been used, lied to, betrayed, and mistreated their whole lives, so why not? They will continue to be kind hearted now just like they were then. I don’t know how other kind...
To Our Fallen Heroes: Bryan Black Jeremiah Johnson La David Johnson Dustin Wright THANK YOU Dear Heavenly Father, please strengthen the countenance of our leaders and those who represent them, to consider the weight of their words before speaking; particularly where matters of the heart are concerned. Enable them to offer gentle words, particularly in a season of mourning, such as this, that the lives and service of fallen soldiers be fittingly honored. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. To The Families of Our Fallen Heroes, Thank you, for sharing with us...
I see a lot of{For myself, and also, others who post with a prayer request}this common belief Christians have that they tell the person with the problem that it's a "good thing"it's "bad" when things go smoothly because you wouldn't rely on God. But I have some issues with that.Like, I notice that the ones who tell someone else that, some time later THEY have a problem, and they're clamoring for others to pray for them. Sooo...if they thought suffering is so "godly", why are they asking for others to pray them OUT OF a problem? They think suffering is "good" until it happens to them, then they're right there asking for prayer to get out of the problem. If they think hardships are good, they should give a praise report instead of a...
A lot of us what to be closer to God, get to know Him better. I know I do. I want to know everything I possibly can about Him. But what, exactly, do you ask the creator of all things? What do You like to do for fun God? What kind of movies or TV shows do You like God? What's your favorite planet and star? It's definitely something to think about. Of course you could ask the normal questions that I have heard people ask Him before. Why is there so much hate in this world God? Why is there so much crime? To me though, that's not getting to know Him. I want to know more about HIM. Why do you love us so much God? Other than sin, does anything else make you angry? Do you ever get mad at us? What's Your favorite memory God, if you...
