In 2 Timothy we read a list of bad traits people will have in the last days. I didn't see disrespectful listed specifically, but I think I've seen enough of an uptick in it over the past.Like through the Bible we see how we're supposed to love others, but while loving someone you don't disrespect them. Look at the philosophy nowadays.Compared to our parents generation they may not have been spiritually perfect, but at least they had some constraints on certain things. Now, let's say an old person inadvertently when walking cuts off a young person, whereas in the past they had a little more respect, now they might curse the old person out , or even beat him up,with no conscience!!People in authority were given more respect, but now, I've...
"First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim 2:1-3). Paul told Timothy to pray for kings and all in authority when Nero was the Emperor... “On behalf of kings” refers to all those individuals who are governmental leaders. It not only refers to the Roman Emperor Nero but all those who governed the provinces that were under his authority. So Paul is not only calling the Ephesians (The City where Timothy was...
The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken. Matthew 13:57-57 57 A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. 58And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief. 1 Corinthhians 13:2 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. JESUS was beheld as nothing more than the son of a carpenter, in His own hometown: not because He had no love for the people, but because they had no love for Him. When Jesus returned to his hometown...
I was saved when I was 9 years old in spite of opinions that I might not really understand what I was doing by "accepting Christ as my Savior." Yet I assure you the Holy Entity touched me, letting me know I was in need of a Savior and I would never have to be lonely or deserted. I had often felt deserted because I had no parents, but was raised by my grandparents. They were good people, it's just that I always noticed that the other children would invite their parents to school events. My school mates would sometimes comment how old my "parents" were, and I felt obligated to explain only a little bit. I can only feel gratitude right now for the way I was raised. I never was involved in a "drug culture" in my...
Ok, we know that someone in their sinful state cannot enter Heaven.{Unless they accept the salvation plan.}We also know that God is no respecter of persons. Now Adam and Eve fell from grace. That means their bodies were in their same sinful state as their descendants_us!!Yet on most Christian forums, when asked this question, overwhelmingly the answer is,Adam and Eve went to Heaven upon death.{Which, if they didn't repent, would override Gods edict about sin can't enter Heaven, and worse, make it look like God is playing favorites by giving them a special break.}Also, the point that God "overlooked" because they didn't have the knowledge doesn't apply, because God clearly told them not to do that.I say, it depends on if they acknowledged...
Everyone left me out there in the cold and in the middle the rain. They left me out there to choke on my tears and on my sorrow. I missed my mom and I missed my dad. They would have come and help me when I needed them most. So, I called on the Lord who is worthy to be praised. He heard the cry of my heart. He calm all my fears. He took away all worry and fear. When my father and my mother leaves me... The Lord will take me in. How true this word it is. It came just in time to repair my broken heart. Loving You o Lord, More on more as days go by. On our way to heavens gates. You will welcome us into glory. No more I wither up inside. All my hopes and desire...

We cannot have love without truth and we should not have truth without love. We must avow truth in Godly love. This does not mean that our words have to be overrun with shallow, syrupiness, while backhandedly, kicking a person while they are down, under the false label of “tough love,” for such only serves to destroy. While it is possible and to speak the truth void of love, it is absolutely impossible to love, without truth. Yet, because God is love and truth, the two must go hand in hand. So called love, without truth, is nothing more than a lie. All lies are of the devil, for he is the father of them. Therefore, we must speak truth to power in love. This is difficult for man to achieve in his humanness, BUT GOD...
When asking a Christian who our worst enemy is, we'd all agree,"The devil, of course".But actually, the devil doesn't really FORCE us to do something, so I'll say it's ...ourselves!!We seem to have self destructive tendencies.Right from the beginning, Adam and Eve.The devil couldn't FORCE Eve , with her knowledge of Gods instructions, to eat the fruit. She came to the conclusion on her own to believe the devil over God.And when she told Adam, he made the decision on his own to believe her over Gods instructions. The devil comes to us, but he can't win unless we give him the keys. But people, both saved and unsaved, seem to have this self destructive tendency in them.I see some who profess Christianity vote for a party that pushes gay...
And David behaved himself WISELY in all his ways; and the LORD was with him. God is speaking to this country, throughout the Bible, we must have listening ears. In some ways, our nation mirrors the story of king Saul and David. In the text below, for instance, David was favored among the people, not simply because he was more victorious in battle (such as one who would slay a more formidable foe of 911), but also because he was more refined and reverenced the hierarchy of deity. David understood that the glory was neither to Saul nor to himself, the glory was to God. King Saul’s problem was not his successor, any more than our leader’s problem is his predecessor. The problem was, and is, INSECURITY. King...
