God in His infinite mercy and compassions sent His only Son to die for our sins. A Lamb that was sacrificed for us so we will not end up in hells burning fire. Instead we shall enter into the glorious presence of Jesus. Our Savior and Lord. Glorious Easter Sunday when Jesus rose from the dead. He is not here.... the angel said. He is risen. Only our wonderful heavenly Father could have done this for us. The loveliness of Spring make us all be aware of new life coming to all of us What a day that will be when my Jesus i shall see. When I look upon HIs face, The One who saved my by His grace. When He takes my by the hand. And leads me to the promised land. What a day, what a glorious day that will be.
(Daylight had given way to nightfall; time would not allow for proper burial. Therefore, Jesus’ body was placed in temporary tomb, nearby, ‘til such time that the Sabbath had passed; for religious law would not permit burial to take place on the Jewish Sabbath) John 19:38-42 38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. 39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. 40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the...
(It is recorded that the following events occurred on that Friday around the three o'clock hour) John 19:28-37 28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. 29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. 31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32...
(Earlier that same day . . .) John 19:14-16 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: 14 and he (Pilate) saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! 15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. 16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away. (By this time, Jesus, having been BEATEN to disfigurement, was now being led, carrying a cross weighed down with my sins and yours. Isaiah prophesied of this event like this: 53:2 and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 54:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise...
John 18:34-40 Jesus’ first court appearance of the day as He would be taken from court to court (or judgement hall to judgement hall, as it were) . . . Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; 35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear...
. . . and it was night; John 18:3-13 3 Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. 4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? 5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. 6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. 7 Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. 8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: 9 That the saying might be fulfilled, which he...
I notice one thing unsaved people do is try to "cover-up" things. They "look the other way"about wrongdoing to avoid looking bad.I knew this, but watching on T.V. the movie "Serpico" really showed me the extent of it.}It's a true story, and shows how an honest cop tried to expose bribery in the force, and everyone was "covering" for the bad cops, and so criminals were getting off because of the bribes, and no one wanted to do anything. I also see how people cover for their families{biased} even if a family member wronged someone. But here's the thing__they may "get away with" these kind of actions here, but fast forward to the Great White Throne Judgement. If they die unsaved, and are standing before God, the "covering up" won't work.If a...
Updated Feature: Predefined Replies
Sometimes you have a similar reply to a prayer requests that you may want to use for different requests. Now you can 'predefine' your replies and use them when posting replies. When you open a request, near the bottom you will see your predefined replies that you can select from (if you have set any up). This was actually a feature before the recent conversion. It was not available on this new program running the site. However, a newly developed program was just installed that allows this to be used again. Any existing replies from the old system have been converted over. To set up your predefined replies, click your user name, then select Predefined Replies from your account options. Or go to Settings, then click Predefined...
