A prayer for self-control Monday 5th November 2018 'God wants you to be holy, so don't be immoral in matters of sex.' 1 Thessalonians 4:3 CEV When God created Adam and Eve, he told them to 'multiply and replenish the earth' (see Genesis 1:28). That helps to explain why sex is one of the strongest of human drives. But if we allow this drive to take control and determine our behaviour, we can make bad decisions. The Bible says: 'God wants... each of you to learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honourable. Don't use your body for sexual sin like the people who do not know God' (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 NCV). When we have physical intimacy with a person we're not truly committed to, eventually someone's going to get...
People left me all alone and crying in the middle of the road. I wanted to be with someone. I was looking for a friend who can help me out find my way to heaven. Is there anyone there to help find the way that leads to glory? Can I trust someone to take my hand and lead me on to find God? It is not about who hurt us or broke us down. It is about who is always there to help us out from the awful place we were found out to be. It is Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Stretching His lovely hands toward me and everyone who believes and trust Him. So, whem I am all alone in this world. Jesus is right there for me. To comfort, to lead, to help and to heal our wounds. When I feel that I am nothing, then God is my everything, to encourage...

I wish you were cold or hot' (Revelation 3:15 GWT). These words can apply to us too. We can become lukewarm in our faith and passion for God and our spiritual life can become mundane and stationary. That's not how God wants us to be; he wants us to be growing in faith and moving forwards. The Bible says: 'Train yourself to live a godly life. Training the body helps a little, but godly living... has the promise of life now and in the world to come' (1 Timothy 4:7-8 GWT). Just as athletes need to keep training to stay physically...
