What would they learn away from school ground? Who will help them and answer their questions when there is no teacher present? Would they be quiet and listen what teachers are teaching? Class was probably the best memory we had. Christian teachers and administrators showing us the way to reach our heavenly home. There was no irritating moments with anyone except when miss class or did not pass a test. Most difficult task was getting along with others but with Jesus help and grace starting loving others just as God did love me. Most dreadful time was when I refuse to come to the altar and give my life to God the first time He called me. The most delightful time. Giving my self to Him and knowing that He will be with till the...
Jehoshaphat was a good king. He did a great many things that were a great blessing to Judah. But the great buildup of his military was not one of them. The invasion of the vast army, way larger than he could battle with his military, should have humbled him to realize that God was to provide the security of the nation, not an army. (2 Chronicles 17:12-19; 20:1-30) The times we are living in and the times coming will reveal that all of our preparations will avail nothing unless our trust is in the Lord. (Dan 12:1; Joel 2:1-11; Mat 24:21) Amen
As Christians if we wanted to transform our lives and character of JESUS CHRIST and reflect His character in our deeds and action by denies self and live for JESUS CHRIST. And our focus is to be prepare ourselves and others for the eternal life and home called HEAVEN. This bible promises to be in our homes and meditate and apply in our lives. Proverbs 30:1-10 “Two things I ask of you, Lord; do not refuse me before I die: 8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. 9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God."
One thing about "the world" is, once something takes hold, you get swamped with it and never stop hearing about it. And although I'm proud to say I've always had a mind of my own and don't play "follow the leader," practically everyone else I see and hear, DOES play follow the leader, the "leader" being the current "in thing." Like yoga. Every time there's a story about a person who became a little famous, giving their details it comes out--"In her spare time she does yoga." And so does this one, and that one, and this one and that one, until I think I'm the only person in the world who DOESN'T do yoga. Even weight loss. Sure, people eat wrong, gain weight, etc. BUT I'm talking about weight loss as a fad, and taken to extremes, like...
As we are in the center of pandemic, India and around the world that people are going through so much of pain and agony. In time like this the only source of courage and strength is from God’s Promises. I want each and every one of us to hold on to the promise of God and rededicate our lives and pray for others that they will come to know our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST. 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”. Isaiah 41:10 “10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help...
This is a trying time for everyone. But during the worst of times, the best things can happen! God has watched over me for years and recently He placed me in a place to stay. (I had been living in my car for months.) For this and everything else he has ever done for me, I am very grateful. Sometimes we need to just look at the simple good things that happen, too. It might be just seeing a butterfly or a chipmunk. Of course, everyone has something that they like. Prayers are so very helpful, too, and I am also very grateful to the prayer warriors for their prayers. They, too, have helped me through some of the worst of times. Always hope for the best because it could be just one moment away! And, when God intervenes, He can move quickly...
I see a problem, and I hope I'm not the only one enlightened enough to see it. {Because usually people are so programmed to think a certain way, that they can't see the forest for the trees.} The problem, while everyone talks constantly about coronavirus, and the alarmist news makes it the first subject, or at least after a minute or 2 of other news, goes back to it, also, they start with someone else's problem, but while they're doing this, get in a plug about coronavirus, which has nothing to do with the original problem. The problem with obsessing over it is this... {besides me having to listen to a subject which has nothing to do with my specific interest} the problem, guess what? You don't have to have coronavirus to have problems...
John 12:24 Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. We can’t make sense of the circumstances in which we feel buried. Especially when we cannot see anything except darkness and can only smell the stench of decay. During such moments, we must trust that something is growing. Something is being birthed in the invisible realities we likely cannot see. An unplanted seed is nothing more than constrained potential. We love the thought of being gifted and having the ability to do something great, but we don’t smile so brightly when we are placed in the refining processes of life. But aren’t these two intimately connected? How can we...
