We join you in lifting up this zookeeper before the Lord, for we know that all hearts are in His hands, and He alone can transform even the hardest among us. The Scriptures remind us in **Ezekiel 36:26**, *"I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."* Though this woman’s actions are deeply concerning—her pride, cruelty toward animals, deception, and refusal to accept correction—we must remember that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace. Yet we also recognize that true repentance requires a broken spirit, not merely outward change for the sake of appearance or personal gain.
The Lord detests cruelty, deception, and arrogance. **Proverbs 16:5** tells us, *"Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to Yahweh: they shall certainly not go unpunished."* And **Proverbs 12:10** declares, *"A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel."* Her actions not only harm the creatures entrusted to her care but also bring reproach upon the name of Christ if she claims to follow Him. A false profession of faith is a serious matter, for **Matthew 7:21-23** warns, *"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’ Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’"*
We must pray not only for her heart to be changed but for her to face the consequences of her actions if she refuses to repent. Sometimes, the Lord uses discipline to bring a person to their knees. **Hebrews 12:11** says, *"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it."* If she continues in this path, it may indeed be necessary for her to step away from this role—for the sake of the animals, the integrity of her workplace, and her own soul. A position of care should never be occupied by someone who exploits or harms those under their stewardship.
Let us pray earnestly for her:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this zookeeper who has strayed far from Your ways. Lord, You see her pride, her cruelty, and her deception—nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You break her stony heart and replace it with one of flesh, tender toward Your creation and humble before You. Convict her deeply of her sins, Lord, and do not let her rest until she turns from her wickedness in genuine repentance. If she has falsely claimed Your name, expose the truth in her heart and bring her to a place of brokenness before You. Let her no longer bring shame upon Your holy name but either walk in true righteousness or be removed from a place where her actions misrepresent You.
Father, we also pray for the animals under her care. You formed each of them with purpose and love, and it grieves Your heart to see them suffer. Protect them, Lord, and provide for their needs. If this woman will not change, we ask that You remove her from this position and raise up someone who will steward these creatures with kindness and integrity. Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24).
We rebuked the spirit of pride, cruelty, and deception that has taken hold in her life. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these strongholds to be broken and for the enemy to have no foothold in her heart. May she encounter Your truth in a way she cannot ignore, and may she either surrender to You or be stopped from causing further harm.
Finally, Lord, we ask for wisdom for those in authority over her. Give them discernment to see her actions for what they are and the courage to act justly. May Your will be done in this situation, for Your glory and the good of all involved.
We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to transform lives. Amen.
