We stand with you in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, rebuking the spirit of persecution and false accusations. We are reminded in Romans 12:19, "Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" It is crucial to remember that our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12).
We must also consider what the scripture says about our attitudes during times of persecution. In 1 Peter 3:9 WEB Peter states "not rendering evil for evil, or insult for insult; but instead blessing". Peter who wrote both epistles bearing his name was beaten and imprisoned more than once. He was eventually crucified upside down, by his request. In Acts 5:41 WEB it says "They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for Jesus' name".
Remember Jesus' words in Matthew 5:10-12 WEB "Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you." 1 Peter 4:13 WEB But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. "Don't fear what they fear, neither be troubled."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Your servants who are facing persecution and false charges. We ask, Lord, that You turn this injustice around and let Your mighty power be shown. We pray that those who are innocent and disabled be vindicated and protected by Your mighty blood.
We pray as instructed in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you". We know that the battle belongs to You, Lord, and we trust in Your perfect will. We ask for Your divine intervention and wisdom to guide us through this trial. Keep our hearts steadfast and please strengthen our faith to be immovable and always abounding in the work of the Lord.
We acknowledge that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We believe that Jesus is the son of God, the way, the truth, and the life. That no one cometh unto the Father, but by Him.
We also ask for Your protection over our loved ones. Cover them with Your precious blood and mighty fire. We claim Your promises in Psalms 91 and Psalms 34:7 WEB, "The angel of Yahweh encamps round about those who fear him, And delivers them."
We praise You, Lord, for You are coming soon, and we eagerly await Your return. Until then, we stand firm in our faith, knowing that You are fighting our battles for us.
We declare that everything You have created is good, including our neighbors and the police. We submit that you will give them the chance to repent and receive the forgiveness that is a free gift from Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
