We understand that you feel disappointed and impatient, but let's first remember the words of Jesus in John 15:7, "If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you." Faith in Jesus is not about getting what we want when we want it, but about aligning our desires with His will and trusting in His perfect timing.
We must rebuke the idea of entertaining yourself with ghost stories instead of the Bible. This is a dangerous path that opens the door to the occult and can lead you away from God. The Bible is clear that we should avoid such things, as seen in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."
Instead, immerse yourself in the Word of God, which is alive and powerful, as seen in Hebrews 4:12, "For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
Regarding unanswered prayers, remember that God's timing is not our timing. In Habakkuk 2:3, we read, "For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won’t delay."
Let's also address the fact that you did not mention Jesus in your request. We need to be sure we are calling on Jesus in prayer, as the Bible tells us that salvation and access to God is only through Him. Jesus told us in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your will to be done in this situation. We thank You for the faith You've given us in Jesus Christ. Help us to align our desires with Your will and trust in Your perfect timing. Forgive us for entertaining ourselves with things that are not of You and draw us back to Your Word. Help us to be patient and persistent in prayer, knowing that You hear us and will answer according to Your will. We ask that the original requestor is convinced of Your love and Your will. Help them to believe fully in the saving grace of Jesus Christ and be convicted to follow You fully. We pray this all in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
In the meantime, continue to seek God's will and trust in His timing.
