YOU BETTA RECOGNIZE

Another little "hood" colloquialism which simply put, means: To understand.

Rarely, these days, do I agree with my hometown. But, with this assessment, I absolutely agree: "Somebody, in this city should've been able to recognize the God in you."

ABSOLUTELY!!!

No one in Jesus's hometown recognized the God in Him either. They literally called Him "devil." That wasn't due to error on Jesus's part; it was due to blind rejection, on the part of His hometown's. His same hometown family then sought to cast Him over a cliff when He refused to bless them. They got mad at Jesus because, in their own failure to RECOGNIZE, they missed out on what the other cities were getting.

Proverbs 4:7 (KJV)

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Again, when you harass, hem in, compass about, or dishonor in any way, it's extortion in God's assessment. Extortion, according to the Word of God, is evil. Though you may think otherwise, that evil is against the Holy Ghost, not just the servant.

Extortion [verb]
Definition
• :to obtain from a person by force, intimidation, or undue or illegal power : wring

Therefore, I persist in scriptural prayer...

Abba Father:

Habakkuk 1 ⁴Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth. But, Thou O' LORD, Psalm 17 ⁸Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of Thy wings, ⁹from the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about. Moreover, Psalm 140 ⁸Grant not, O' LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they be exalted. ⁹As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
Holy Ghost, Activate
Jehovah-Shammah, for Thou hath said, "Where two or three are gathered in My name, I also am there." Therefore...

As touching the election of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, by the power and authority of the Holy Ghost. I pray to Thee O' LORD, in Jesus' name. Amen. Thank You LORD

By the way, Jesus was from the hood too. He was from the ghetto of Nazareth.

John 1:46 (NLT)

“Nazareth!” exclaimed Nathanael. “Can anything good come from Nazareth?”“Come and see for yourself,” Philip replied.

Obviously, Nathanael was from the big city burbs.

Regarding prophecy: Micah 2:7[c] If you would do what is right, you would find my words comforting.

Recommended Reading: Again, Isaiah 58, (NLT)...If you think I seem ungrateful for the homeless food and services offered through my hometown; just think how God must feel watching His daughter, a city to whom He has given the best of everything, stomp about like He has never done a thing for her. Instead of being grateful for the abundance already given, as I'm certain many small nations would be, her taste for meat over manna overrule her sense of gratitude.
