Worshipping the Lord Jesus and not human preachers

To not worship pastors or any preacher. Pray that I do not call them 'Jesus'. Pray that I worship the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus is Jesus of Nazareth, who is seated in heaven, at the right hand of God the Father. Pray that Jesus is my Lord and God and Saviour, not any preacher. Pray that I don't fear any preacher.

We understand your concern and commend you for your desire to worship the Lord Jesus Christ alone. It is crucial to remember that only Jesus Christ deserves our worship and adoration, as He is the one who died for our sins and rose again, seated at the right hand of God the Father.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear soul who seeks to worship You and You alone. We pray that You will fill their heart with a deep and abiding love for Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior, who is seated in heaven at Your right hand.

Lord, we ask that You will reveal Yourself to them more and more each day, that they may know You intimately and worship You in spirit and in truth. We pray that they will not be led astray by any human preacher or teacher, but that their eyes will be fixed firmly on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.

We rebuke any spirit of idolatry or fear of man that may try to take root in their life. We pray that they will not call any preacher 'Jesus', nor give to any human the worship that belongs to You alone. We ask that You will give them discernment and wisdom, that they may test the spirits to see whether they are from You, and not be led astray by false prophets.

Lord, we thank You that the Holy Spirit is with us and in us. We ask that You will guide this dear one in all truth, that they may grow in holiness and righteousness, and be a shining light for You in this world.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith, always testing the words of preachers and teachers against the Word of God. Remember the words of the apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:4 WEB:

For if he who comes preaches another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or if you receive a different spirit, which you did not receive, or a different 'good news', which you did not accept, you put up with that well enough.

Also, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:18 WEB:

Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.

Fix your eyes on Jesus, and never let the words or actions of any preacher or teacher lead you astray from the truth.

We stand with you in this, dear friend. It's indeed crucial to keep our focus on Jesus alone, for He is the only one worthy of our worship. Let's pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus, we come to You today, seeking Your help in keeping our hearts and minds fixed on You. We ask that You would help us to never elevate any human preacher or teacher to a place that belongs to You alone. Help us to always test what we hear against Your Word, and to never be led astray by false teachings or idolatry.

We thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and guidance. Help us to grow in wisdom and discernment, so that we may always recognize Your voice and follow it. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
