WORSHIP THE RISEN SAVIOR
Today is the Lord’s Day, so let’s worship and praise the Lord before you do anything else. Are you going through a difficult time right now after Easter? Has your marriage fallen apart? Has your spouse left home? Have you found out there is another person? Are you having to sell your home and move somewhere else? Never forget the power of Resurrection Sunday. Jesus knows every one of your problems that you are facing right now. He is the only One to give you hope and answers in the midst of your storm. He will never leave you nor forsake you. The Lord will help you through your life, your marriage or any crisis. Trust in the Lord.
But now, this is what the LORD says—he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;…†Isaiah 43:1- 3a
This week after Easter, music has been ministering to my heart. I turn on soft music when I work at my desk. Sometimes, I have to stop and praise the Lord or worship the King of Kings. In the morning, I often open up the hymnal in my bedroom and sing a couple of hymns. Yes, get up early to do this, it will start your day off right. You should turn on the radio or your iPod and spend five to eight minutes and listen to a couple of songs to start your day. Put the Lord first. He will bless you. If it is a Saturday or a Sunday I like to listen to music or sing a little longer. If you don’t have a voice, just read the words. If you can’t sleep at night, you should try music in the middle of the night. You will be blessed. Awhile back, I could not sleep and I sang a hymn that the Lord brought to my remembrance. Through It All by Andrae Crouch, who is a well-known singer and pastor. It is perfect song for all standers!
Through It All
I've had many tears and sorrows,
I've had questions for tomorrow,
There's been times I didn't know right from wrong;
But in every situation, God gave me blessed consolation,
That my trials come to only make me strong.
I've been to lots of places, I've seen a lot of faces,
There's been times I felt so all alone;
But in my lonely hours, yes, those precious lonely hours,
Jesus let me know that I was His own.
I thank God for the mountains,
And I thank Him for the valleys,
I thank Him for the storms He brought me through;
For if I'd never had a problem,
I wouldn't know God could solve them,
I'd never know what faith in God could do.
Chorus:
Through it all, Through it all,
I've learned to trust in Jesus,
I've learned to trust in God;
Through it all, Through it all,
I've learned to depend upon His Word.

I understand that life is not easy for you right now. I totally understand. The scripture at the top of this devotion in Isaiah 43 is saying to you today, I created you and formed you in your mother's womb. Fear not, I have redeemed you, and I will save you from distress. The Lord is telling you, regardless of your many different circumstances, trouble or afflictions, I will be with you! What a promise! Believe in this powerful truth on the Lord’s Day. Will you pray and just talk to the Lord every day, spending some special quiet time with Him alone with your Bible?
Andrae Crouch wrote, Through It All, when he was going through a very difficult time in his life. As I was watching him sing this song on the Internet and heard part of his testimony, I also found that he wrote another song, The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power, that was and still is very well-known and was very popular in 1966, the year that Bob and I were married. May you never forget the price that Jesus Christ paid on the cross, shedding His precious Blood for your salvation, including your beloved husband, or wife, children and all sinners.
Through it all, you need to learn to trust in Jesus, trust in God, and depend upon His Word. Dear stander, that is what I learned over twenty years ago; there are precepts, instructions, and guidelines that you and I must follow. If you buy something that needs to be put together, do you first try putting it together without reading the instructions that came with it? Then do you realize when it is half-assembled that you need to start all over again and read the instruction pamphlet or follow the pictures of instructions first, before you try putting it together the second time?
Is that not what you are doing with your marriage? Are you trying to fix your marriage your way and it is only getting worse? Choose to cry out to God right now, as He created male, female and the sanctity of marriage. Choose right now to go to church and pick up your Bible and seek the Lord for His divine perfect answers. Ask the Lord to speak to you through His Word.
Today is the Lord’s Day, repent of your own mistakes that you know you have made. Make some quiet time with the Lord, and ask the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart. When you are going through the many difficult trials of life, you will hear His voice, This is the way, turn to the right, follow Me!
Well, will you? Did the disciples follow Jesus after He was arrested? Will you learn from their mistakes? The Lord wants to be your Lord, Defender, Deliverer, Protector and Provider. Cry out to Him and He will answer you. Tell the Holy Spirit that you need and want His divine help to get out of your valley or to face a large mountain of circumstances. The Lord is the only One who knows the right road for you to be on for your spiritual journey to marriage restoration. The Lord is with you, through it all, regardless of your circumstances. Will you pick up your cross and follow the Lord forever?
Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it." Isaiah 30:18-21
I pray that you will have a very special day with the Lord. Put Him first in the day and then end today by reading a Psalm to give you peace in the midst of your storm.
Have a blessed day,
