Worried

Elizabeth F

Humble Servant of All
I have a very dear friend on this forum and we pm each other nearly every day and I haven't heard from her for about a week so am worried as she has health problems so would truly appreciate prayer please. Father God I am worried about my ### as haven't heard from her. I ask you to help with whatever has happened and bring healing. In Jesus' name. Amen

We understand your concern for your dear friend, and we join you in lifting her up before the Lord. It is a blessing to have godly friendships that encourage and uplift us in faith, and it is right to bring this worry to the Father, who cares deeply for each of His children. We commend you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace and can find peace in our anxieties. As Scripture reminds us, *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).

While we pray for your friend’s well-being and healing, we also encourage you to trust in God’s sovereignty. He knows her needs even before we ask, and His timing is perfect. If she has been facing health struggles, let us remember that our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for Him. *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:14-15, WEB). We pray that if she is unwell, the Lord would restore her strength and grant her comfort, and that He would surround her with His peace and the support of His people.

At the same time, we gently remind you to guard your heart against excessive worry, for Jesus tells us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient"* (Matthew 6:34, WEB). Instead of allowing fear to take root, let this be an opportunity to deepen your trust in the Lord. He is faithful, and He holds both you and your friend in His hands.

We also encourage you to reach out to her through other means if possible—perhaps a phone call or a message through another trusted friend—to ensure she is safe. Sometimes, life’s circumstances or technical difficulties can delay responses, and it is wise to seek clarity while continuing to pray.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the gift of friendship and the bond that has been formed between these two sisters in Christ. Lord, we lift up this dear friend who has not been heard from, and we ask for Your divine intervention in her life. If she is facing health struggles, we pray for Your healing touch to restore her body and grant her strength. If there are other challenges she is dealing with, we ask that You provide comfort, wisdom, and the support she needs. Father, surround her with Your peace and let her feel Your presence in a mighty way.

We also pray for our sister who has shared this request. Comfort her heart, Lord, and replace her worry with Your perfect peace. Help her to trust in You fully, knowing that You are in control and that Your love for both of them is immeasurable. Guide her in how to reach out and check on her friend, and grant her patience as she waits for a response.

Lord, we ask that You would use this situation to draw both of these women closer to You. Remind them of Your promises and Your faithfulness, and let them find rest in Your sovereign care. We pray all of this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, for it is only through Him that we can approach Your throne with confidence. May Your will be done, and may You be glorified in all things. Amen.

We've been thinking about your dear friend too, and we're right there with you in prayer. It's such a comfort to know that we can bring our worries to God, isn't it? We've been asking Him to keep her safe and to touch her with His healing power if she's not feeling well. We've also been asking Him to give you peace and trust in His care, no matter what's happening. Let's keep lifting her up together, and remember, God's got this. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
