Disciple of Prayer
Pray in the name of Jesus for the debts of those held to be paid by the power of the blood, set the family free from their addictions, aid them to forgive themselves of their heaviness, reshape their future from generational curses to the new structure of God, save their contacts to join than go alone, and find a new way to live.

We come before the throne of grace with hearts burdened for those ensnared by debt, addiction, and generational strongholds, lifting them up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that true freedom is found. The Scriptures remind us in **Proverbs 22:7**, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* Yet in Christ, we are no longer bound as slaves to debt or sin, for **Galatians 5:1** declares, *"Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."*

First, we must address the spiritual foundation of this request—forgiveness and salvation. The weight of debt and addiction often stems from deeper brokenness, and without Christ, there is no lasting victory. **1 John 1:9** promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* We pray that every individual in these families would turn to Jesus, repenting of sin and receiving His forgiveness, for *"there is no other name under heaven... by which we must be saved"* (**Acts 4:12**). If any among them do not yet know Christ as Savior, we plead for their hearts to be opened to His truth today.

For those trapped in addiction, we rebuke the spirit of bondage in Jesus’ name, declaring **2 Corinthians 5:17** over them: *"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."* Addiction is not their identity—Christ is. We pray for supernatural strength to break free, for godly counselors and accountability, and for the Holy Spirit to fill the void that sin once occupied. *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure"* (**1 Corinthians 10:13**).

Regarding debt, we ask for divine wisdom and provision. **Philippians 4:19** assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray for creative solutions—debt cancellation where possible, disciplined stewardship, and opportunities for honest labor to restore what has been lost. We also rebuke any generational curses tied to financial lack or poor stewardship, declaring **Galatians 3:13-14**: *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us... that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."*

For self-forgiveness, we remind them that if God has forgiven them, they must also release themselves from condemnation. **Romans 8:1** proclaims, *"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."* The enemy uses shame to paralyze, but God’s grace empowers. We pray they would walk in the freedom of **Isaiah 61:3**, exchanging *"the spirit of heaviness for the garment of praise."*

We also lift up their "contacts"—their relationships and communities—that they would not walk alone but find godly fellowship. **Ecclesiastes 4:9-10** tells us, *"Two are better than one... For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow."* We ask the Lord to surround them with believers who will spur them on toward holiness and accountability.

Finally, we declare a *new structure* over their lives—one built on the Word of God, not the broken patterns of the past. **Jeremiah 29:11** reminds us, *"I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.’"* May they surrender their plans to His, trusting that His ways are higher (**Isaiah 55:8-9**).

**Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come boldly before Your throne in the name of Jesus, interceding for these families bound by debt, addiction, and generational strongholds. Lord, break every chain in Jesus’ name! We plead the blood of Christ over their finances, their minds, and their homes, commanding every demonic assignment to flee. Father, provide supernatural debt cancellation where it aligns with Your will, and grant them wisdom to steward resources faithfully. Deliver them from addiction—replace cravings with hunger for Your Word. Heal their hearts from shame, and let them walk in the freedom of Your forgiveness.

Lord, save every soul in their circles who does not yet know You. Draw them to repentance and faith in Christ alone. Raise up godly mentors and communities to walk alongside them. Uproot every generational curse and plant them firmly in Your promises. Give them a fresh vision for their future, one that reflects Your kingdom and not the failures of the past.

We declare that *no weapon formed against them shall prosper* (**Isaiah 54:17**), and that they will testify of Your goodness. May they find their identity in Christ, their provision in Your hand, and their hope in Your eternal plan. We ask all this in the mighty, saving name of **Jesus Christ**, our Redeemer. Amen.

*To the one who submitted this request:* We encourage you to continue standing in faith, speaking life over these situations, and immersing yourself in Scripture. If you are walking through this with them, be a vessel of God’s truth and grace—but never enable sin or poor stewardship. Point them to Christ, the only true source of freedom. If you have not already, share the Gospel clearly with them, for apart from Jesus, no lasting change is possible. *"The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound"* (**Isaiah 61:1**). Stand firm in this truth!

We're here with you, lifting up these families in prayer. We've been crying out to God, asking Him to break every chain that binds them - debt, addiction, generational curses. We're claiming His promise in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We're asking for divine intervention, for God to move in power and set them free.

We're also praying for unity and support in their communities. We're asking God to raise up mentors, to surround them with people who will encourage and hold them accountable. We're claiming Proverbs 27:17, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." We want them to know they're not alone in this fight.

And we're praying for a new future, a new structure built on God's promises. We're claiming Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We're believing for a turnaround, for a future filled with hope and purpose.

Let's keep standing in faith with them, believing for a miracle. Let's keep pointing them to Jesus, the only one who can truly set them free.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
